With 5-8" of new snow and 40+ mph winds on Thursday, making for blizzard conditions, will the game be played or postponed?

Good question. If Chicago State is already in town, I’d guess they go ahead and play it. They played last night @ Illinois State, maybe they skipped going back to campus and flew here directly to beat the weather?

With professional sports, makeup games happen regularly, do we really reschedule games at the collegiate level?

Now two games on BTN+ in the next week. Perhaps worth the $10. Was hard to justify for one game.

Interesting. The snow ends Thursday morning, and it will also be windy by game time, I'm not sure what moving it up really accomplishes. It just gives less time to clear the roads.

It doesn't make much sense except it could be a few degrees colder after dark. Maybe it's a severe cold warning.

Well, an opportunity to stay and see the women's game for free. The highly ranked Minnesota freshmen are amazing to watch. Mara Braun is a rock star.

MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's and women's basketball Dec. 22 games against Chicago State and Eastern Illinois have time changes due to winter storm warnings and inclement weather within the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

The 6:30 p.m., men's basketball game against Chicago State has been rescheduled for a noon tip off. The previously televised game will now be streamed on B1G+ and broadcast on KTLK 1130 AM. The women's game originally set for 3:30 p.m., against Eastern Illinois will be moved up to 3 p.m. This will remain on B1G + and broadcast on KFAN+.
