When Republicans canceled the Dixie Chicks for their comments about then-President Bush, were you this upset about cancel culture? Or is this a new thing? You seem like the classic Barstool Bro who throws out words like "virtue signaling" and "cancel culture" which are all made-up terms because you never outgrew being a bully and now you can't do that anymore without consequences.
Is that the latest or earliest incident you can come up with republican "virtual signaling"?

The only people who are ever mad about black people using the "n" word? White people who want to use it in public and are mad they can't. So if it bothers you that black folks are using the word amongst friends, ask yourself why. If your response is "it's a double standard!" think about why that bothers you.
Double standards bother a lot of people because they are double standards.

I rarely get involved in these type of discussions, but I’m curious if those against “cancel culture” object to the NHL’s virtual ban of Mitchell Miller? IMO, that POS is getting what he deserves.

You think Florida doesn't want two highly rated qb's because they don't want to choose between the two?
I can’t say for sure but it seems most schools that get a stud QB committed only take the one guy. Maybe if one was also an “athlete” type then I think you could do 2 or even 3? I guess I don’t know enough about other schools recruiting habits, it seems like the Gophers only do 1 QB per class?

Anything that is ok for one race but not another is by definition, racist. No?

I'd like the word itself to be cancelled, honestly.

Incorrect. You already can't say it, so in a way it already is canceled to you no?

Last time anyone checked, treating one group of people different than another group of people based on the color of their skin is discrimination and/or racism so yes, I think a rational person would agree?

Lol, oh yes where everyone gets their education regarding racism from, Mr. Oglethrope.

I think if there was no hard "R" there should be no problem, but I also understand the times we live in. I think we'd all be better off if young people, of all skin colors, stop idolizing musicians that glorify the use of that word. Along with selling drugs, carrying guns and disrespecting women.

So... is there something you disagree with in Ogee's statement? Seemed like a pretty good definition to me.

Again I'll ask the "double standard" crowd, are you upset that white people can't say the word, or that black people can?

He decided to film himself using a racial slur and was stupid enough to post it himself. Sorry....but you won't get any sympathy from me. Keep in mind....more than half of FBS players overall are young black men. Florida decided that he wasn't worth the potential toxicity.

Now....nobody is calling him a bad person....but actions have consequences. He'll land somewhere else and will hopefully have learned from this.
Hmmm.

Assistant coach to Head coach: "QB Recruit is using poor judgement on social media"

Head coach to Assistant coach: "We have other QB recruits that are not exercising poor judgement in public right? Not good for the potential team leader. I think we know what to do here..."

The fact that white people don't understand the difference....and actually have the audacity to wonder why black people can say it....but they can't....is a depressing reality of the some people in this country.

And...

Florida just so happens to pull the scholly a few days after getting a commitment from much higher rated 4-star QB Jaden Rashada. There's no coincidence here, right? ;)

Nice tangent you drifted off into, but it's irrelevant to the question I posed. Please answer the question I posed. You most likely can't, because there was nothing racist about the post you claimed was.

And I never said anything about being made about black people using the "n" word, you just posed that question out of thin air, probably to avoid answering mine.

Get back to me when/if you have something legit to say.

Now you're assuming I'm a bully? You're making an assumption about someone you've never met and know very little about. Hmmmm, I thought we weren't supposed to do that?

The tragedy is that he is likely to end up in the BT which is pretty damining of the BT.

Is the frustration that white people can’t use the word, or that block people can? Either way that’s weird.
Neither. I'd explain more, but this is nonsense for a football board. We are way past football now. OTB or mods should just close it.
