Iowa still has the "travels well" reputation. Plus The Meineke Bowl would take them so the Gophers don't go there 2 years in a row.

I'm absolutely with you about the Meineke Bowl, and mentioned as much in another thread. I hate Iowa, but they do have that reputation and it's been deserved in the past. I do think, however, that their attendance woes have been noticed by bowl reps, in that they can't even draw at home, how well will they travel. It at least places doubts, which is good for us. Our best case scenario (assuming an 8-4 finish) would be Wisconsin making a BCS bowl to put us in line for the Gator Bowl. If Wisconsin falls below that, we drop in pecking order to Texas, and I'm with you that I think they take Iowa over us to avoid a repeat appearance. While this is just my opinion, I don't think the Gator Bowl takes a 6-6 Iowa team over an 8-4 Gopher team. Texas almost certainly would.
