Can we call him "Clutch Leidner"?...

Cool, he's good in the 4th quarter. He needs to be consistent to beat the tO$U's, Wisconsin's, and yes, even the Michigan's on the schedule this year. A lot of the Mitch frustrations from the fan base comes from him turning it on late in games...why can he look so good in those situations, and not in earlier quarters?

The nature of Mitch being inconsistent is that he's inconsistent, including from throw to throw and quarter to quarter.

I don't know why anybody would expect Mitch to be consistently good when the offensive line, wide receivers, and play calling haven't been consistently good. Football is the ultimate team game. It is difficult for players to excel unless their teammates are excelling as well. That being said, I like what I saw from the young receivers last Saturday. They were getting open and hanging onto the ball (particularly in the second half). It is interesting how most QB's look better when they have receivers who are aggressively going after the football and making plays.

Every QB from middle school school through the NFL knows he shouldn't pass off his back foot. Stepping toward the intended receiver is the only way to throw a football with speed and accuracy. But QB's often have to do it when they are they are getting a strong rush and are not finding open receivers. Even the best QB's will regularly throw off their back foot in those situations but they have the talent and arm strength to complete the pass anyway. Not many QB's do.

It's simple: Mitch likes to play with the game on the line. Now, someone convince him that the game is on the line at the opening kickoff.

Perhaps the issue is that Mitch is committed to making sure the game IS on the line... and he's going to make sure of it.

The performance of #7 proved everyone here in GH right. whether the ML naysayers or the ML supporters...he proved us all correct.
