The award is presented annually to the collegiate American football player judged by the Davey O'Brien Foundation to be the best of all National Collegiate Athletic Association quarterbacks. It is the nation's oldest and most prestigious national quarterback award. The winner of the award will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 12.
Brosmer is one of six Big Ten quarterbacks on the list of 35 and has led the Gophers to a 5-3 record (3-2 Big Ten) in his first year in Maroon and Gold.
