Wofford gave South Carolina a better game in Columbia than we did vs any of our road games vs mediocre teams this year let alone a ranked team.

A full Memorial stadium in Lincoln is bigger than most if not all cities in Nebraska.

I don't think we should be in the business of making jokes about full stadiums in anyway.

The fargodome holds 19,000 and is rarely full. Lighten up.

Ok its my fault because your post was bs and not funny nor accurate.

According to wiki fargo dome holds 18,700 and average attendance this year was 18,555.

I will lighten up the moment you stop talking out your ass.
 

furry91 NDSU is louder than the metrodome during the 1991 world series with 19,000 and brick walls. Its really impressive.

NDSU is 25-2 now best record in FBS or FCS. NDSU also is #1 in defense as well and shoud roll to Back to Back titles. Cant wait to see NDSU in FBS soon.

listen, the gophers lost to NDSU the last 2 times and now they refuse to play NDSU every again in football. So why cant you fellow gopher fans show some love for the amazing football that is being played by them. Plus they have about 5-6 guys that would of started for Minnesota this year if Tim Brewster didn't act like an arrogant fool.
KFAN is having ndsu talk Wednesday morning with pa, ben leber and corey chavous, so there is love in the twin cities for this ndsu team.

Went there for two years. 2009-2011. Student section is often a joke, on par with TCF. There is zero school spirit on that campus, and the tickets are free. It only started getting decent after they won the title. Attendance numbers are often inflated as everyone knows. How many NDSU games have you been to?

Yes, you heard that right. I went there for two years and hate them. Hate the arrogance. Hate the Napoleon syndrome.

The decibel ratings were nearly identical. 60,000 vs. 19,000 It is impressive. I'll give you that.

Can't count how many games I've been to I got my bachelors at NDSU and went to most games writing for the paper.

No school spirit? They are camping out for games, meeting the team coming back from the airport.

From 2009-2011 there wasn't a care in the world for NDSU Football. Half the campus didn't even know they were in the playoffs in 2010. They made the quarterfinal of the playoffs that year only to lose on a questionable call and I couldn't tell you how many times I heard "The Bison suck" on campus. The program has won 6 national titles in 30 years and there is no pro team in town. The Bisonville regulars could spend hours complaining about the student section if asked about it (Link). Tickets are often claimed electronically for free and as a result of the ease of access, go unused.

The airport is literally across the street from campus.

Also, the accuracy of the fargodome being the 6th largest city when full in that state is a true fact and well advertised in Fargo. Don't know what you were talking about.

I never argued the dome being the largest city in ND I pointed out Memorial Stadium is Nebraskas third.

09 they sucked and I'm sure you did hear that. everything you say in this post applies to the Gophers as well do they not? look up the posts here about reducing the student section, and giving out free tickets. I'm glad when I got my MBA at the U of M I never heard a disparaging word about the football team.

I'm done discussing this, I'm sorry you apparently wasted your two years at NDSU. hope you enjoy the u of M and best of luck.

Not sure if I want to cheer for NDSU, they beat my Salukis. Then again, the seasons over and they do represnt the MVFC well.

the only reason there is a small amount of "love" as you call it, is because they have an affiliate station in fargo where they simulcast their live minneapolis on-air show. if there was no affiliate station in fargo, trust me there would be absolutely NO talk at all about your north dakota fighting bison sports programs ever. and it is purely token conversation from time to time. trust me when i say that KFAN and virtually all of their on-air personalities DON'T GIVE A SHIITE about the north dakota fighting bison sports programs. you guys really are delusional about how much people care/don't care about your athletic programs. p.s. the numbers are much more on the "don't care" side of the line.

to the board mods: as someone else said it really would be awesome if the mods would start doing some house cleaning around here when it comes to a lot of these non-gopher football threads that people start. and not worrying so much about moving/deleting actual gopher related threads people start because you think there is already a similar thread started elsewhere. these obviously non-gopher related threads should all be going to the off-topic board. have some pride. practically no other main big ten team board would allow this kind of stuff to routinely go on and get posted in their main football/basketball forums, and then stay around without being moved to the off-topic forum. please act like a big ten board and not a silly regional feel-good bulletin board for a bunch of infrequent troll/flame posters who grew up down the road from fargo or sioux falls or ames, iowa.

the the board mods: please stop in essence ignoring the standard of the fact that these are supposed to be GOPHER RELATED forums simply because you guys want to generate some additional regional page views/clicks when these silly threads get started by regional trolls/flamers. it is pretty obvious and telling why you guys don't delete or move them to the off-topic board in a timely manner. at least be honest about that being the reason instead of remaining silent and not moving them when they get annoyingly started each and every week.

Probably because other forums don't have moderators/administrators who tolerate material that ventures so far from the intended subject matter. I suspect you wouldn't go to a Hello Kitty forum and see people talking about the Cincinnati Bengals.

well, no one asks you to stay here and post with all of us "whining losers" as you put it. and yes, most other main big ten boards have far more house cleaning and moderation of off-topic/non-team related threads than gopherhole usually does. dpodoll pretty much put it perfectly.
 

Dpo and Supa, where I share your disdain for Bison Football and not really caring what there program accomplishes, ever. You are right, it should be in the OT board. Don't comment on it and just let this thread go away. (Which, the thread just going away probably won't happen. :( )

My only comment on NDSU's football program is that I would generally enjoy watching them if it weren't for a large number of a$$ bag fans that I am personally acquainted with, (although, there are a few of my friends, a very small number, who are resonable and have some common sense) is the main reason I continually root against the Bison in most athletic events. I have tried to cheer for them, even with some of my friends, but the general arrogance and chest beating of some of my friends who are fans is beyond me. I sure didn't hear a whole lot of that during their mediocre years from them, but I guess that just comes with the territory of being National Champions and beating us twice (should've been 3 times in all honesty).

I really wish we could have at them down the road again, because the friend I brought with me to the last game (Bison fan sadly) had a great time and I really enjoyed it as well. Outside of losing the game of course. Just my two cents. (The thread can be moved now. :) )
 

Funny: most people who posted in this thread would have posted once and said something like "Stupid Bison, I hope they lose." But the more you complain about the topic, the more responses you get, and the longer it lasts.

Have you guys really not noticed this?

That's not true. The vast majority of forums have subjects that are on-topic, and subjects that are off-topic. Bisonville's football forum, for example, is for discussion of Bison football. What to talk Gophers? They have the News About Other Schools Forum for that.

After a scoreless 2nd half, it's a final.

Honestly if the OP is a GH'er and Gopher fan and they are posting this because there are a lot of Minnesota kids starting for the Bison then I don't have as much of a problem with it. If they are a Bison fan then I don't think they should be starting threads about the Bison on a Gopher board. To each his own. That's my opinion.

Edit: I'll add that I enjoy the 'other games' thread and the threads about the UW coaching change, PSU scandal, etc. To me there is a big difference between a thread started by GH'ers on a topic of interest with a U of M perspective and a thread that is cheerleading for another team.

I saw on one of the ESPN Twitter feeds that Grant Olson had 27 tackles for NDSU today. I believe he was a Wayzata kid. Then I looked at the box score and noted that Wofford threw the ball 7 times the entire game.
 

NDSU v Georgia Southern ESPN 2 Friday night at 7pm hope you guys are cheering for the bison. game was sold out in 15 minutes. Grant Olson had 29 tackles, it was insane.
 

One of my colleagues will be visiting from Atlanta. I'll be cheering wildly along with him for Georgia Southern.

Stupid Bison, I hope they lose!
