Absolutely. So wanted to get to one of Pearl Jam's Home Show concerts in Seattle in 2018. The Flying V guitars are sweet. Ten is a must have foundational album to have in any rock collection.

If we're bragging - in the fall of '78, I scalped main floor, front row center tickets for Springsteen at the old St. Paul Civic Center. show went almost 4 hours. best freakin' concert of my life. and I've seen the Stones, the Who, the Dead, Dylan, and plenty more.

2nd place might be a Blues Festival I went to with BB King, Buddy Guy and Koko Taylor. Hell of a show.

I'm assuming that was a joke. no cell phone in '78. I suppose I could have tried to bring a camcorder into the arena, but I don't think I would have made it past security.

Indeed, that's why living up to the expectations/hype in front of 10,000 fans in front of a hometown audience (and a large percentage of out of towners) at Midway was one of my favorites.

I've been to hundreds of shows (including U2 at then TCF bank). I have never been to a show where the crowd LOVED the band more than the Replacements at Midway.

Midway was an underrated venue for concerts.

Agreed. I wonder why the Saints have not tried to have some shows in the new digs.

I saw U2 both at the Bank and Zygi Dome and had the benefit of having GA tickets. I was approximately the same distance both times from the stage. Even though I got soaking wet at the Bank, I enjoyed that show vastly more than the one across the Mississippi River. No brainer.

Vividly remember getting caught in that deluge while bar hopping in NE, and thinking "those poor bastards at the U2 concert". :ROFLMAO:

Apparently though, Bono playing solo in the downpour was one of the most iconic moments in Twin Cities concert history. Or so some say

Could be a thing about which ticketing companies "own" the various venues, as well?

Like if her tour has an exclusive deal with SeatGeek instead of Ticketmaster, or something. No idea, made that up.

There have been at least two. One classic rock, headlined by Cheap Trick, with Gene Simmons and Don Felder, and one with a bunch of 90's hip hop artists.

But now that the Saints are part of organized baseball, they might be more restrictive on what is allowed in-season.
