Best Minnesota season in 23 years

Agreed. The biggest problem is the lack of talent on the roster. The hollins and TM are great, the rest is either average or shouldn't even be at a high major (Oto, Welch, Mav, and Big Mo at his current abilities)

Good enough to contend with top teams night in and night out. They've proven that.

LOL; how have they proven that?

Eh, I should have reworded...

They have proven they were good enough to play with top tier teams.

The disappointment was that we didn't do it night in and night out....

That is fair. I would argue that part of being highly talented is the ability to bring it on a night in night out basis. I have no doubt that at their best, the top 5 or 6 players on the roster can compete with most teams, but IMO there is a large drop off in talent after them, and some of them (Williams and Coleman come to mind) are unable to bring in every night, therefore in my opinion, are not as talented as they are made out to be

Agree and disagree.

The ability to bring it night in and night out is not a gauge of talent, that's desire.

This was a highly talented team, with minimal desire.

Many, I included, believe desire is often brought out from leadership, something this team completely lacked. It's seniors were nearly remiss of leadership qualities not to mention its coaching staff.

Just a different interpertation then I guess. I consider talent to include leadership and desire. Not just the ability to jump and run. For example I do not consider Rodney that talented, he is just a leaper. But to each their own, and I can certainly see others views on it...

This team is athletic, but NOT highly talented. Please enlighten me how Joe and Rodney are tanlented, i.e. skilled.

The desire was there, and they always played hard. The biggest problem was talent. It one of the big 3 were off or in foul trouble, there literally was nobody else on the roster that could pick up the slack.

I think that's a gopherhole cope out. Calling the team athletic is a lame excuse. You cannot tell me that Joe Coleman and Rodney Williams have no talent. Are they complete basketball players? Hell no! But to say they lack talent is asinine.

They have shown that they are talented basketball players many times. Each has had standout games where you've said "If only he could play like that all the time" that's a admitting they have talent.

The fact that they do not consistently play with said talent is a concern.

Either way, we are arguing the same point just with different words.
