It would be so much easier to handle this loss if the guys at least played with some fire. This just feels like a typical league game.

I agree except when you are lingering in the bottom of Bubble Land. You played a whole season of games that get you to a point where 1 game DOES matter.

This game is/was a scale tipper and the boys look pretty weak to me.
 



Yeah...the refs have had no influence. Pathetic.

Yup mad town. Super soft front court. We're killing them in the paint and glass.
 



Hayes hooks King similar to Kaminsky, they call and1. Everyone seems oblivious to the fact that's an offensive foul.

No call for a wrap???? That was as blatant as it gets.
 

As bad as the refs have been tonight. It's been far from the refs deciding the game, this is all us.
 



We didn't play well and would have lost. But these refs have turned an 8-10 point loss into an uninteresting 20 point loss.

Agreed, not good for one that certainly decides your fate. I suppose we are content to go to the NIT in this first year...Should have been playing with house money.
 



I still like our resume when comparing it to others. Iowa just lost to Northwestern for God's sake

Agree. And Pitino has to learn to pipe up and defend his team when they are getting hosed. You are going to lose anyway, might as well light a fire under your team.
 

Nigel Hayes is good player but he gets away with that hook every time he spins with his back to the basket!

And you can't admit that the refs are calling the game one way.

Admit it.
 

A number of people called it at half but the officials have called this 2nd half completely different than the 1st. If they call it like this in the 1st half the most we are probably down at half is 5. Absolutely atrocious reffing throughout the game and Andre has now gotten hot way too late.

Ryan, Izzo and Matta have the refs in their hip pocket from the opening tip. No not bitches more than Ryan though. I effing hate Bo Ryan.

This has been one of the worst Gopher performances of the season. Really, really disappointed in Andre Hollins today. I don't know if his ankle is bothering him (he's not limping), but his mind seems to be someplace other than the court today. It's not the missed shots, that happens, it's his defense, body language, energy level, everything says he's just not in to the game today.

Gophers offensive rebounding has been PATHETIC, I am not looking at a box score, but I can't remember our bigs getting a single O-board in the last 30 minutes of game play.

One last thing, the Gophers are VERY much in the mix for an at large bid still.

Seriously, it is really taxing and deflating when you put in so much effort just to get your chances taken away by the guys in stripes. Then you try too hard, it gets worse, and finally everything bottoms out. Conversely, it's really easy to shoot when you know the guys in stripes have your back. The Badgers' end of first half and comfortable ride in the second half is a direct result of that.

I don't think anyone would disagree with you.....but it's tough to maintain ANY momentum when the refs are kicking you anytime you even sniff a competitive game.
