Are you cheering for the Badgers because "it's good for the Big Ten?"

I don't like the two choices in the poll. I'm not necessarily rooting for the Big Ten, but I don't cheer against them....too many friends/relatives with ties to both Badgers/Hawkeyes.

Head to Head.....I want bragging rights!

I couldn't care less about conference reputation... if the gophers play well enough they will get a seed they deserve. For the tournament I just want to see good games at this point and do not care who wins.

Much as it blunts the "WE GOT THREE IN THE SWEET SIXTEEN S-E-C S-E-C HURR HURR HURR" blather (doesn't change the fact that none of the other teams in their conference are any good at all)...no. No, I'd rather gnaw my own leg off than cheer for Wisconsin.

7 of the B1G teams not in the Sweet 16 have wins against the 3 in it. We have a lot of teams that can compete at that level.

Clearly you don't live in Wisconsin, Station19!

Badger talk in general is insufferable, but imagine how it intensifies with each step closer to a Final Four/National Title appearance. I nearly slit my own throat back in 2011, when in the late Fall - there was talk of an eminent Brewers World Series, Packers Super Bowl, and a Badgers Rose Bowl.

Nope never lived there.

I suppose that could be an acceptable reason though.:)

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Any school that recruits athletes in Minnesota that the Gophers want is my enemy. Outside Minnesota, may the best man win.

Definitely! I would cheer for either team in the tourney...huge fan of Sconny!

No.

I hope the Badgers get curb-stomped.

This is the absolute rule when it comes to Wisconsin and Iowa.

Generally agreed. However, I could envision a scenario where I could root for Wisconsin, but it would need to be much more directly linked to the Gophers success (for example, Gophers need a win in their last game and a Nebraska loss to go to the B1G championship game, and Wisconsin is playing Nebraska).

I would agree with you on that one, generally it is a fairly easy rule to follow.

I want the Badgers (and Arizona) to win so my nephew will have a good time watching his parents watch the game together. His dad is an Arizona grad while his mom is a Badger.

It will be a great 15th birthday present for him.

BTW, I hope the Wildcats kill the Badgers (if they play each other).

You don't have kids, do you.
Kids learn more from adversity.
Remember when the fish went belly up on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, and Mr. Roger turned it into a tender moment?
Badger death would be the best thing that ever happened to the lad.

Go Baylor!

When hell freezes over. I actually think half the roster is gay. Look at that one bus photo someone posted.

I hate when people say "you're not a real fan if..." But you're not a real Gopher fan if you cheer for Wisconsin tonight.

There are only a select few scenarios where a Gopher fan would not root for them to lose(different from wanting them to win BTW) and I have yet to actually see one in my lifetime. They exist, but I'm more likely to win Buffett's 1 Billion than to encounter one in my lifetime. It's without question tonight is not one of them and to ague otherwise makes you a Becky troll in my book

Amen. Don't even know why this is a topic.

PS. Ruppert brings a new low in this thread as well.

Scott Drew is absolutely getting his ass kicked by Bo. Man, it would've been nice if Baylor showed up tonight.

Scott Drew is nothing but a recruiter and even that he probably cheats at.

I just want him to have a good laugh when my sister implodes when Sean Miller's crew takes them down. My nephew, Joey is more of a Wildcats fan. That drives his mom crazy. My parents try sending him Gophers' gear, but between Minnesota & ASU, maroon and gold doesn't play very well in their house.

Baylor is laying an egg tonight unfortunately.

The 13 people who voted yes in this poll should be IP banned since they are probably Badger fans.
