The excellent Robert Vaughn is part of crew. Not memorable entertainment, but I find it fun and entertaining.

Untamed on Netflix with Eric Bana and Sam Neill was solid. Murder mystery in Yosemite. Short 1st season with just 6 episodes. Wilson Bethel is also in it. He plays Poindexter/Bullseye in Daredevil.
 


I know this series started in 2021 but I just got done watching season 1 of Queen of the South. I’m hooked
 

Watched the 1st episode of Chief of War starring Jason Momoa. Seemed good. Probably keep viewing it.
Momoa created, produced, wrote and appears to also have directed an episode. Not seeing his name listed in makeup.

We just watched it. The last episode, especially last 15-20 minutes was pretty emotional for us, having an 8 year old that isn't far from dealing with some of the things teenagers have to deal with now.

The actor that plays the boy had never had professional acting experience before this show. He was picked after being noticed in his school's drama club.
 

Finally, finally finished 'See'. Kept bogging down on it. (2019-2022 series) I liked the plot. Civilization is almost exclusively blind except for a few. It was probably a season too long for me. Stars Jason Momoa and the reason I completed it is probably because he's in that new series and figured get this one out of the way before watching another he's in.

Also watched Dept. Q on Netflix. Not enough action for me. Kind of slogged my way through it.

I thought See started off really good but I didn't think it was as good as it went along. Solid overall but not as good as it could have been.

I thought this season had a lot of potential, but the character development was too slow or non-existent for most of it. It felt disjointed, and I think as it played out, this season could have been done in about 3 episodes instead of 8.

The last episode just abruptly ended everything, and was mostly predictable. I could tell what Mike White was trying to do, I just think it was poorly executed. Seasons 1 and 2 were much better, but I will still be excited to see what season 4 brings.

Speaking of Taylor Sheridan, I just watched the finale of 1923 the other night, and I thought that show was wrapped up perfectly. Although it's very dark at times, I really enjoyed those 2 seasons.

I just finished the series. I enjoyed a lot of it. Two small gripes I had (spoilers):

- The constant problems Spencer and Alex had with their travels, especially in season 2 were a bit over the top to me. Driving through a blizzard with no way of getting gas made zero sense. Driving into an almost certain death.
- Would have preferred to see more of Spencer at the ranch. Hopefully get to see more of that in the next prequel, 1944. He is right there with Rip as my favorite characters of the Yellowstone world. Probably the biggest badass from the Dutton family.

Coincidentally, I did the 7 day trial of Paramount+ to watch season 2 of 1923 and am now trying to fly through Landman as well. Both shows have Michelle Randolph in them (she played Elizabeth Strafford in 1923).

I would highly recommend Slow Horses while you have your Apple access. Very good in my opinion. Gary Oldman is just fantastic. If you're thinking of checking it out, I'd skip the series with Colin Farrell called "Sugar". I really like Farrell, and it was disappointing.

I haven't checked out much on Apple; I basically remember to check it out every couple months when I don't have something that really jumps out at me on Netflix or Prime.

Slow Horses, coming back not only for Season 5 but apparently Season 6 already in production. Very good news!

Seeing this tweet makes me want to go back and rewatch this first season of "True Detective". It's probably been long enough since I watched it.

 

Has anyone watched The Lazarus Project on Netflix? I see it was cancelled after two seasons so unsure if I should watch it. Looks interesting though.

We just started this series last night. This could be such a fantastic series with better casting. I actually don't mind the lead character too much, sure, he could be better; but yes, the rest is not great.

The worst, like one of the worst Lead characters I've ever seen in a series, is absolutely f*cking terrible; Lashana Lynch, as the MI-6 investigator on the case. Holy shit. I mean, almost bad enough to stop watching 1 or 2 episodes into the series. I get that Hollywood has gone pretty deep on DEI for their casting but she's just frickin' awful. An unlikable character to begin with (her character isn't written very good at all), and she compounds it by being horrendous at representing that character.

We'll finish it, as we plow through series on the weekend in a very binge fashion so it won't ruin like a week of viewing. But looking at it, this COULD have been a really good series. As I'm watching it (and I'm sure this WON'T happen), the only thing that could salvage this series for me is if the Villain somehow wins/prevails.

Nailed it, Cool. The original movie is incredible, and stands the test of time. And the Bruce Willis/Richard Gere movie, The Jackal, is also one of my favorites. Very well done movie.

As much as I try to dislike Cena as an actor, he's tremendously good in Peacemaker and really liked Season One.

Anyone else watching the new "Rainmaker" series? So far, it's pretty darn good and having John Slattery on the cast never hurts.

I swear, Peacemaker's father always gets me scratching my head and thinking, "no way this dude was in Terminator 2". Same thing in that Reacher series.

I'm about halfway through the second season and I'm about to toss in the towel. Basically none of the characters are likable. Gary Old Man's character isn't good. The Proclaimers (500 miles) scene from the first season was as cringe inducing as television gets. And for some reason in the second season.....they decided that he needed to be eating something wet, like noodles, for full scenes in every episode. It's repugnant.

Yeah, that could be an issue. But the entire cast is funny. Ike Barinholtz is great. Everything that Kathryn Hahn says is good. Pretty show, too. They put a good amount of money into this. Season two already confirmed.

We watched the first 3 episodes so far and love it. I think it’s a good role for Rogen and don’t mind him at all in this so far.

No problem with noodles. Just don't understand why the director would think loud, obnoxious slurping sounds throughout entire scenes is a good choice. I get that Oldman's character is supposed to be repugnant. But it seeps into the entire show. Just don't care for it, personally.

Definitely one of my favorite shows of the year. Consistently funny throughout.
