WQOW: Ellenson Wins Gold At Junior Pan Am Games
Representing Team USA, Ellenson cleared 2.15 meters -- or just over seven-feet. That effort was good enough to earn the gold medal.

I really dislike the conference logo in the paint. Makes it look like a conference court not a Gopher/MN court.
The way it was displayed last year was perfect.

Predicts Andre will lead Big Ten in scoring this year
I'm a 2011 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. Despite that, I grew up in the shadow of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and still consider myself a Boilermaker at heart. It's for that reason that I was once a B/R Featured Columnist for Purdue basketball.
I'm now an F/C again, and you can find me all over the College Basketball section, with a heavy concentration on the Big Ten. I write more on college basketball at The Back Iron (backiron.blogspot.com), home of the exclusive Back Iron Index, which attempts to dig up the real best 68 teams in America.
I'm also an associate producer at 104.5 The Zone in Nashville. I've helmed episodes of all the station's important shows and run two evening shows, along with producing Tennessee Titans coverage and Belmont basketball games.

I'm always down to discuss ball on Twitter or in my comment threads. But, one warning to all the trolls out there: I troll right back. Hard. Come at me, you best not miss.
Stop reading Bleacher Report for real analysis. This is the "college basketball expert" that you are citing...
Anyone hear when the Gophers can expect the King decision? Really too bad about Buckles, not so much for the Gophers, but for the kid himself. I was confident it was going to work out for him. Maybe it still will with the appeal. Having 3 spots on the roster at the whim of the NCAA is a tough spot to be in.

Depending on how Wally plays this season, I wouldn't be surprised if it's his last season playing basketball. He's got the potential to do some great things in track and field.
In response to the ESPN article earlier today suggesting Wally may quit basketball to focus on high jumping...

If I were Coach P. I would mention the B1G is the best conference in America, and that he and his staff were determined to bring top talent to the U, and that he may do well to choose one or the other. I'm sure a Pitino can get this message across politely, yet firmly, prior to the spring signing date.

I don't think Wally is the type of player you want to force out of the program. Athletic, hard-working, and a fairly well regarded recruit. I'd be pretty disappointed if we don't give him a little time to develop and find out what he can do.
Glad you aren't Coach P.
Do you recall in an earlier interview where Coach P. mentioned he was unaware Wally was on the track team. Coach P. and staff are here to compete in the toughest conference in America, not to participate in feel good stories. IIRC Wally played 47 minutes last year, due to injuries, being ill, etc. Obviously Wally could still light it up next season, but he could also be encouraged to use his redshirt year and look for a more conducive situation. Coach P. and staff have not made 45-50 offers in the past 5 months to keep Bleed and his staff busy here. If a Pitino can in anyway replace a player with a better one, it will be done.
