All Things P.J. Fleck Rumor Mill Thread - Listed as Candidate for Other Jobs

It is funny, because I realize we're stuck with PJ and he's stuck with us. We're not going to fire him because he runs a clean program, does a ton in the community and wins half his games. That said, no top program is ever going to take a chance on him because he only wins half his games. Its a stalemate.
Half?

I'd rather find a coordinator as good as Phil Parker and worth the money.

PJ likes his internal promotion process.

You realize Phil Parker was an internal Iowa hire and he was paid $300k in 2012 when he took over as DC.

And, Iowa promptly went 4-8. Then, 8-5 the next year. 7-6 the year after.

So 19-19 record Phil Parker's first three seasons.

Sometimes things aren't linear.

Was just about to post something similar.

Phil Parker got the Iowa DC job the same way Danny Collins got the MN DC job, they worked their way up. Parker was never a DC anywhere else prior to Iowa.

Overpaying for outside hires doesn't guarantee anything.

I do not think Coach is Narcissistic, but he is in control. I believe, to a point, the coordinators are carrying out orders, not specifically, but generally. I have noticed a few times this year, once for sure last week, after a failed 3rd and makeable, cameras on coach and he has his hand over his mouth and mic. and is chewing some major rear end.
I think if a coach goes outside the parameters of what he wants, they get lit up, His philosophy of promoting and thus maybe having more control or influence over the staff, is just how he rolls.
Not convinced that all this stuff is coordinators fault, Coach Fleck runs the show, if he doesn’t like it after the season, I think he will make the changes he feels necessary.
