All Things Minnesota Timberwolves 2022-2023 In-Season Thread

One would think...but then there is the "curious case of the MN Timbrerwolves" this season where any game you expect them to show up they don't.
I can't argue any of that.

Are you going to watch? You already have this as a loss!

Do you want them to make the playoffs? If they get the sixth spot, they would be playing a team with a much better record.

You've got all the excuses ready. I can always count on your for that.

I believe the timberwolves are expecting a win. I'm on their side.

You and I had this same exact thing a while back and the wolves won. Let's do it again.

1. Yes and so does everybody who pays attention. Though would be happier if they do win.
2. Yes and if so, they won't be favored against them.
3.:ROFLMAO: Not if you've been paying attention.
4. They might be but doubt that you do. Unless you've already placed a bet on them. Good one huh!
5. That would be nice.

Big update on KAT, apparently he’ll be ready “in the coming weeks” and our season will also be over “in the coming weeks.”

Howl Wolves!!

They really are dead set on not telling anybody anything aren't they? The question is why?

Andrew Wiggins hasn't played for the Warriors since 2/13. He may not play again this season. It's for "personal reasons" and nobody is saying what they are. This seems to be the rule now across baseball, football, hockey and the NBA.

"Buy tickets! Buy merchandise! Watch the games! Cheer for your team!"

- What's going on with the health of the players?

"None of your damn business!

The officials in tonight game is god awful. how do you not call a T on Boston.

The Boston Coach should have been T up.

You cannot be on the floor like that.

Yes they don’t care about you. They have the tv money and until tv gets upset teams don’t care.

That was a comical ending to the game. Just remember twolves players were t’d up late in games for having their shirt untucked because Chris Paul pointed it out to the ref.

If the wolves were allowed to wear the Celtics uniforms tonight, they'd have won by 20

They put themselves in a bind with missed free throws, but it just plain sucks to lose a game like that.

How awful and one sided was the officiating last night? The Star Tribune, who major in "it's NEVER about the refs", did a story on how awful they were last night

Oh and how in the hell couldn't they see Mazzulla? He was actually within the 3pt line on the other side of the court!

"After the game, Timberwolves coach Chris Finch's voice was rough, raspy. A cold coming on? Perhaps. But also, maybe the result of arguing — too often vainly — calls over the previous 2 ½ hours.

In the locker room, Jaden McDaniels wasn't saying anything. Across the room, Rudy Gobert was picking his words carefully.

"We all, sometimes, we have that feeling that the things that get players and people in general furious is we feel like we're not being treated with integrity," he said.

Wednesday at Target Center the Wolves lost to Eastern Conference power Boston 104-102, the final result closer because of Mike Conley's last-second three-pointer..

Only for the game to finish in frustration — four technical fouls were called on the Wolves, the last two in the final seconds against Anthony Edwards and Kyle Anderson not long after a botched jump ball may have decided the game.

"It was really rough out there,'' said Finch. "It felt a little unbalanced at times.''

For example, Finch couldn't understand why Boston coach Joe Mazzulla didn't get called for a technical when he raced from the Celtics bench to the other side of the court twice, the last time screaming for a timeout just before that jump ball. Turns out the refs indicated they didn't see Mazzulla.."

That seems impossible considering he was face to face with a ref still asking for a timeout.

You'd think so but what else could they say? They "didn't see" is b.s. but they can't come out and say "Boston had to win".

The NBA is by far the worst at giving teams at the top all the calls. If youv'e got a history of being awful it's compounded. Wolves have been as awful as can be for most of their history. Only great shooting is gonna overcome the disparity.

This season has shown that the KAT is outta control mantra was a little overplayed. He did lose his head too many times. Though, like fans are seeing this year without him, that was also because most calls went the other way.

The "sure it was a bad call but he can't act like that!" was my attitude too. Though this season we've seen it don't make a damn bit of difference.

Now some of these are inflated by the "foul at the end strategy" but still..

- Curry got 50 for the Warriors, and they lost. They got 15 FT to L.A.C 32
- Houston after beating the Celtics, beat the Lakers last night. Though the Lakers had 37 FT to the Rockets 19.
- Miami beat the Morantless Grizzles. The Heat had 33 FT to 14 for Memphis
- Philly beat Cleveland. FT were pretty even but it seems that Embid got a star reverse when the game was still in doubt.

Oh boy. Anthony Edwards is down on the floor. Had to be help off the floor. Not good at all.

Edwards is out for the rest of the night.

I’m sure this won’t be a damaging loss to their playoffs hopes.
they had the game won 5 different times near the end of regulation and in the first overtime.

But when you have this teams history and you are one of the dumbest teams on the planet, you find ways!
