All Things Minnesota at Oregon Road Game Thread

Taking a grandson to the game - he’s devastated that he’s being pulled out of school for two days. We’re flying out Thursday, staying in Oceanside one night and Salem the next, then flying home Saturday. Seats in section 21.
That mean's driving I-5 Friday night after the game to get to your Salem hotel. Word of caution, lots of people will be on I-5 headed north after the game, it will be dark and some may have consumed beverages during the game. Just be safe and expect the Oregon State Police to be out there.

We fly in to Portland first thing Friday morning, day/night in Eugene, and then will figure out what to do in Portland on Saturday. I was really hoping there'd be another D1 football or basketball game in the state on Saturday, but no dice. I looked at every school, notta.

Looking forward to a fun day/night on Friday.

Go Gophers!!
Check out the U of O athletic facilities, especially Hayward Field. Also, not sure it's you're thing, given the emphasis on sports, but Powells Books in PDX is probably the largest bookstore in the US west of NYC.

Powell’s is also a two block walk to Deschutes Brewery that has maybe the best wings I’ve ever had…full wings, all of them are smoked and I had the buffalo wings, and it is kid friendly, if needed.

Also, from that area, about 3-4 miles, almost due north across the Willamette, it’s a little east, is an area on Mississippi street that has awesome food options all over the place, I am partial to Matt’s BBQ on the north side of the district. Lots of cool shops.

I can't make the trip but Deschutes would be fun to visit.
