All Things Class of 2027 Minnesota Gophers Basketball Recruiting Thread

Top players from the 2027 class. Including a 7 footer for STMA.

This is yet another compelling reason to dump Ben ASAP, so the new coach can get in on this class with enough time to build relationships with the players who can build the foundation for the future.

One reason to keep Ben is that he seems to build relationships, has developed some players, identified some quality players and now will have players being paid. NIL needs to improve, but players will be getting paid. He might have good relationships with some of these players that could get severed.

I blow with the wind on this decision. We'll see how the season plays out.

Quote from Hopkins dual sport recruit Jayden Moore from the strib today.

Hopkins junior guard Jayden Moore was one of the state’s most electric players this season. He led the state with 270 assists and also put up four triple-doubles and even a quadruple-double.

“Hopefully I can build a relationship with him better than [Johnson],” said Moore, who also has an offer from Gophers football coach P.J. Fleck. “Then I would consider staying home.”

This made me laugh. Back to back posts. But kudos to your for posting regardless.

Re-hire Ben Johnson as Medved's assistant. Good way to continue Ben's relationship with his recruits.
