Kid put up 48 TD's to 6 INT's and 3,211 yards as a Sophomore leading the state in most of those categories.

Might be another Sam Jackson type recruitment. His tape at EDGE is very exciting but if he wants to be a WR (or a glorified TE) then chase your dreams. Plenty of time to get him back in or find a replacement.

Seems we never recruited him but Owen Linder of Chanhassen committed to Iowa. Top 5 in-state player but no Gopher offer. Wonder if he told the staff from the get go that he just wasn't interested in staying in-state.

Looks like he came on an unofficial visit. I’m sure we recruited him, but doesn’t look like we offered. We did sign two that project as OTs this year and Trout is committed for the 26 class. I wonder if we were slow playing an offer and going for bigger targets with Trout already in hand.

Fleck has shown he’ll go wherever to get the guys he wants but it’s always nicer when they’re from down the street.

This sounds correct with what I’ve heard. Seems like they feel good with Trout and other OL prospects
