All Things Class of 2015 Recruiting - Class Finally Complete? Nope Chris Obekpa visit

Gophers apparently going after Austin Burnette? Anyone have any additional info? Burnette de-committed from Rutgers in July. Dude sure can hit the mid-range jump shot... Not a single dunk or three-pointer though in the three minute video, and for a guy listed as a 6'6 SF, I'd like to see one of the two. Hoping he is a fallback option to a fallback option...

Is he 2014 or 2015?

I don't mean this the wrong way, but Burnette may be better off at a lower level (i.e., not a HM). Struggled shooting the ball this summer like you wouldn't believe.

Nichols I've thought would be a good add for Minnesota for some time. Better than a lot of people appreciate. Could turn out to be a nice player.

Nwankwo's expanded offensive repertoire and emergence as a threat beyond your traditional rebounding big and menacing shot blocker has catapulted his stock up the market these past eight months. He's gone from a low to mid-major target to one of the most heavily-courted, low-risk recruits in the country.

"He's so damn coachable," Borman said.

Spoiler Alert! Minnesota is on that list.

"Now Nwankwo, who just arrived at Victory Rock Prep in Florida, has trimmed a list once akin to a 7-year-old's Christmas gift list in length down to six schools.

"Minnesota, Tennessee, Seton Hall, Rice, Temple and Fordham," said Nwankwo of his final six."

Kevin Dorsey and Team Takeover playing Craig Randall and Team Bibby (7-26-14 Las Vegas)

Ryan James@RyanJamesMN What I took from that Kevin Dorsey game: tried to take 3 charges, controlled the pace, ball pressure is menacing, created for size regularly

In that game Kevin Dorsey had 23 points and 8 assists while Craig Randall (has Gopher offer) totaled 16 points. I posted my game notes on it

So, is Jarvis ever going to cut down his list like he keeps saying he will? What's the news there?

Last I've seen on that front is that he's taking officials to UNLV, Wisconsin, and the U. Haven't seen a list though.

Are we still on Henry Ellenson's RADAR? or did he dump us because of Wally?

Why are we posting stuff about Henry Ellenson in the 2015 recruiting thread?

Bronx forward Jonathan Nwankwo cut his list to six: Fordham, Minnesota, Seton Hall, Temple, Rice and Tennessee. He took an unofficial visit to Fordham on Monday and will take official visits to Minnesota on Sept. 4 and Tennessee on Oct. 11

I hope he doesn't make it to the Oct. visit and gives us a early Sept. commit!

From something called Court Cred... who is our resident T-shirt maker?

New Heights 2015 G Dupree McBrayer said he may be committing as soon as September. How old is Dupree? From the article it appears that he will be two years removed from high school in 2015.
"As long as super sophomore Dupree McBrayer returns to Springfield Gardens, the Golden Eagles will be a PSAL Class A contender. This season was just the beginning for the 6-foot-3 combo guard, who led his team to a Queens A East crown and PSAL Class A quarterfinal berth. "

"The Queens, N.Y., native describes himself as a point guard who has the ability to play both guard spots because he can “get to the basket, shoot and create plays for others.”

McBrayer has bounced around since starring as one of the top sophomores in the city while playing for Springfield Gardens High School in 2012. Before helping to lead The Patrick School to a county title, he also spent time at Quest Academy in Las Vegas.

Leaving home to pursue better basketball opportunities wasn’t easy.

I hope we sign McBrayer. I don't see him as a PG, but the little bit of film I watched, he does pass well in traffic. He doesn't have a B1G ready body, but he has time and good size for a 2.

New team mate...
"forthcoming Montverde Academy senior Ben Simmons, a native of Melbourne, Australia, is the #2 high-school basketball recruit in the “2015 ESPN 100.” In October of last year, Ben Simmons , a superb 6’8 center/forward athlete with great overall basketball skills, committed to play basketball for the Louisiana State University (LSU) after his graduation from MVA in 2015"
