All Things 2026 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

That's probably why the OL Coach was just sacked.

Pun intended. Not sure why KOC hung on to him for so long.
Ingram is on line to sign a $30M extension with the Texans - amazing how life works some time.

I have to admit, the revisionist history with the Vikings and Darnold last year is pretty remarkable. Most of the Vikings fan base would have absolutely lost their collective minds if KAM signed Darnold to $100M last spring; many of those folks right here on the board.

Darnold would have never survived behind the litany of OL combinations the Vikings had to deal with this season. Not a chance. Seattle also wasn't nearly as allergic to running the football as KOC either.
The most ridiculous theme I've been seeing is that the Vikings got rid of him or even traded him away. He was a free agent that was offered a good contract. He decided to go elsewhere.

Is this a joke? Those 10 shouldnt be allowed to vote anymore if it isn't.

The rumbling I'm seeing is that crusty old Bill Polian, former GM, still has a stick up his ass about "Spygate" and/or "DeflateGate" and reached out to a number of voters to swing their vote.

And I thought the Baseball writers were a bunch of ass clowns

I give a lot of credence to these kind of comparative stats but then you have to ask yourself how many SB Titles do Landry and Knoll win without Staubach and Bradshaw?

I think the cheating scandals carried more negative weight than jealousy regarding the "no" votes for Belichek IMO.

Vikings tell the Twins hold my beer.

There was an article with an interview about him regarding Darnold and he came off very poorly in it.

I wonder if he was the voice who didn’t want to roll with Darnold and Wes JJ ride or die.

I heard Kwesi was doing great though...

Good move, good riddance.

If KOC doesn't win a playoff game this season, he'll be the next to go.

Who is on your list?

Not a clue in the world. But part of me (as I often think in these cases, with the timing) thinks they at least had someone or a few names in mind when pulling the trigger? I would normally say it is pretty late in the game to be looking but there weren't really a lot of GM spots this cycle so they should be fine.

It certainly sounds more relationship-based than performance; some strong differences of opinion in the building, a power struggle ensues, and KOC would almost always win that fight, based on his record alone

Here’s my aforementioned article on his interview regarding Sammy
