All Things 2026 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

This is just not true. Sure, if all you do is just look at a list of the average age on current NFL rosters, they are in the bottom half. But when you really look at the roster and players over the age of 30;

ADP, the long snapper, 38 years old; just might be skewing things a little bit

CJ Ham - 32 Retiring
Hargrave - 32 Leaving
A. Jones - 31 Likely not staying
F. Moreau - 31 Likely leaving via FA
H. Smith - 36 Likely retiring

Outside of the long snapper, the only players that are probably staying on the roster that are Over the age of 30 are both 31 in Eric Wilson and Jonathan Allen.

This is not an "old" roster

You're also missing Van Ginkel, Cashman, and O'Neill who are all over 30 or will be when the season starts next year. Now compare that to the rest of the NFC North/NFL and it's an old roster.

That leaves us with a hole at RB, a massive hole at S, holes on the DL, and OL, and a giant ? at QB, where they may have to bring in another old washed up QB.

As long as they keep kicking the can down the road with these old rosters they're going to continue to be stuck in mediocrity.

This has all led to the best record in the NFC north over the last 5 years, but the Vikings are the only NFC north team who hasn't won a playoff game over that same time. It's not a recipe for success when the games matter most. They are in no mans land right now.
