All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings Off-Season Thread

Better than Flacco or Wentz. At least as good as Tannehill but much younger and maybe cheaper. Good trade.

Also the potential backup QB options go well beyond those 3. Any number could be available for modest future draft picks between now and the end of August.
Nailed it.

What’s your take on Sam Howell to Vikes?

I was literally going to post last night after Seattle took Milroe that the Vikings should be calling Seattle about Howell. I'm a big Howell fan; Bienemy tried to get him killed in Washington playing behind that abysmal OL and I don't really care what happened in Seattle.

I think the Vikings struck gold; KOC and McCown will be able to turn Howell into a guy they can feel comfortable turning to in limited spot duty if/when necessary.

I think this is a great move for the Vikings.

Agreed with others. I think among the reasonable options out there Howell was my preferred choice to bring in as a backup.

Alec Lewis with The Athletic going with this guy as the favorite pick of the Vikings:

Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, DT/Edge, Georgia

When defensive coordinator Brian Flores thinks he can get the most out of a player, it’s hard not to trust him. The versatile Ingram-Dawkins has the length to play on the edge, the strength to stop the run on the interior and the movement skills to run twists and stunts from the inside. Last year, the Vikings used veteran Jihad Ward in a versatile role. Ingram-Dawkins might be a younger, more dynamic version with upside.
