Bizzaro
Bizarro was regarding an injured official (the down marker one ), him being taken to the tent and subsequently replacedNot bizzaro, this is Vikings football my whole 59 years on this earth. Ridiculous that this game is even in overtime.
Positives
We won
Darnold has answered any questions about his ability to sustain his production
Two receivers with 100+ yards
Jones with 106 yards, 4.8 yard average and a TD
452 yards in offense
Room is a legit replacement for Reichard
Plenty to work on
You’re welcome MurrayThank you!
Just finished watching a thrilling overtime win in a division game on the road that allows the Vikings to keep pace with Detroit.
And... we now even have a positive post, thanks to Gopher in NYC!
That's a lot for Viking fans to feel good about.
I hate it too. Winning division should guarantee a spot in the playoffs but teams should be ranked by record.I will take that a win is a win. but here one thing i hate about the NFL. the stupid division winners get to host Wild Card playoff games. Minnesota at the end will have a better record then the Division winner of the NFC South and West but will have to go on the road in the playoffs. Unless we end up winning the North. No division winner should host wild card game unless you have a great record.
Similar to opening drive Jones fumble. If Darnold would have been under center, the bears would have had to play the QB sneak more and I don't think they would have stopped Jones and taken the ball from him if that were the case.4th and less than a yard, go out of shotgun with an empty backfield. It makes no sense. Just telling them what you’re doing.
That was a more dominant team and should have destroyed Daniel Jones. This team wins very, very ugly. This reminds of the Vikes of 2 years ago when they went 13-4. Would not be surprised if it's one and done once again
The Packers play 17 home games a year. Every time I take a look, they are playing in GB.The Packers constantly get lucky. They’re playing the 49ers who are without like half their team today.
Looking at the Vikings record outdoors and on the road (and home record last year) might be for the best.I will take that a win is a win. but here one thing i hate about the NFL. the stupid division winners get to host Wild Card playoff games. Minnesota at the end will have a better record then the Division winner of the NFC South and West but will have to go on the road in the playoffs. Unless we end up winning the North. Jamiche, that Vikings squad was -3 for the season in point differential and also negative on the yardage gained—I’m not saying this season should be confused with the ‘97 Vikings but the ‘22 version was doing it with smoke and mirrors. That was a more dominant team and should have destroyed Daniel Jones. This team wins very, very ugly.
Mundt had a worse day.Brandon Powell is having a bad day.
He should have went downJust got back from church and watched the highlights on UTUBE. Was that really a fumble on Jones? I thought he was down
Pepto Bismol translates in any language.I woke up at 3:30 AM to go to the can. While on said can, I check the score of the game and see the Vikings appear to have a comfortable 24-16 lead and then add the field goal to go up by 11 with 2:00 to go. I figure it's safe to go back to bed, but check once more, and see the Bears scored their touchdown in rapid fashion. I decide to watch through the RedZone and log on just in time to see the buffoonery of the onside kick and the subsequent twenty yard pass to put the Bears in FG range. Alright, now I have to watch til the end and thankfully, THANKFULLY, despite the flurry of penalties on that drive, Sam Darnold channels John Elway and John David Romo doesn't channel Blair Walsh so I don't have to head back to bed with a sore ass and the disappointment/bile of spending an hour in the middle of the night watching them give a win away to the Bears.
The Vikings man. Doesn't matter where you are in the world, they will get you.
Had the Vikes lost, it would have been an epic weekend for Minnesota Sports.
The Wild lose it a shootout
Gopher football loses a heartbreaker
The Wolves launched a 3 at the buzzer to beat the Celtics and missed.
And of course, that viking game.
Had the Vikings screwed that up, that would have been 4 nail biter losses that all went down to the wire.
Damn, that would have been brutal
Excellent post and you also deserve these emojis -I woke up at 3:30 AM to go to the can.
