All Things 2024-25 Minnesota Timberwolves In-Season Thread

After the Portland game:

Portland has won 10 of 11 and embarrassed us back to back a while ago.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they beat us.
Fair assessment. I'd hope Rudy takes getting his teeth kicked in by Clingan and Williams to heart and that doesn't happen again.

Rudy played well against Senguin last night. He was embarrassed by him before. Maybe the same happens against Portland.

Great ending of the Spurs at Hornets game. Fox hits a shot with 7 seconds left to put Spurs up by two. Bridges then hits a three to put Hornets up by one with 1.1 left. Fox once again hits a shot, but just a micro second late. Only watched the final quarter, thought Stephon Castle for the Spurs looked outstanding.

As I’ve said for the last 2 years, when Naz plays starter minutes, he puts up starter numbers.

Look like a Timberwolves loss coming tonight.

This is a fantastic win. A lot of the bench got to play in what felt like a playoff atmosphere.

Might be hopping back on the Jaden train.

A truly beautiful second half. Talk about stepping it up. Naz, NAW, Rudy and Jaden took care of business after halftime.

If Jaden could average 20 & 9 to go with his defense, he'd be worth every penny of his contract.

Is it just a tease...or a sustainable improvement?

He's averaged 19 and 8 over his last 10 games.

Close enough for me. 🥳

If it's not a mirage, we have something here. It also might be time to move on from the Garza experiment and give those minutes to Miller to see what he can do.

If averaged that, his contract would become a bargain at that point.
Considering he has a career average of 10 & 4 (11 & 5 for this season), that's a huge margin that still needs to be bridged and then sustained over the length of an entire season.

It's hard not to get excited about this 3-week sample size, though.
