All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

Multiple people have given you metrics. I did watch the game. Your argument is all feelings. You speak in difinitives with nothing to back it up besides eye test which is an infallible argument for you. You were the first to say something with no measurable facts but then tell others to prove you wrong. Why don't you prove yourself right by giving hard arguable facts! It's all a moot point. You have your opinion and that's what it is and that's fine but stating authoritatively that things are true when you haven't the basis for it is dumb! Just say it's your opinion and keep it at that.
So you watched the game. I call bull. You didn't watch more than a flip by on your way to something else.
You are sharing your opinion. You are welcome to it.

Bowling Green is 253 in Kenpom and we got a guy throwing a championship parade because of a eye test where Michigan state played terrible ahha

Do you have a Kenpom doll you bow to when you wake up?

Nope, but I still have functioning brain cells that I need to start praising God for when I wake up.

I now know how much of a blessing it is to be able to say that.

Ola Joseph was pretty good down the stretch for Cal in their victory over USC on Sunday. It wasn't so much about scoring as playing hard and doing the blue collar work, including playing defense. I'd say that stretch against USC and his performance last year against Nebraska were the best I've ever seen from him. Cal plays a faster paced game than us and it looks like that suits him better.

he was one Ben did a really bad job of utilizing. Can absolutely do the hard hat stuff (rebound, play defense, and run the floor). He was never going to work in a slow, iso PG dominated offense and whatever the hell defense we were trying to play

We'll we both agree to thank God for his grace. That's a place of agreement. It also means we both have functioning brain cells.
Have you ever seen the movie "Trouble with the Curve"? It's a good movie. I like Clint Eastwood more than the analytics guy. Just saying.

I think you're probably right. I'm not sure why we're playing "a slow, iso PG dominated offense" right now because it doesn't seem to be serving us well. You could see the benefits of a PG dominated offense when we had Hawkins because he was fast and a wizard with the ball but we don't have a player like that now. I'm not sure I've seen an alley oop pass and dunk from the team this season whereas they were regular occurrences when Hawkins was here.

Can SDSU give Zags a game? Will be difficult missing 1 or 2 of their top guys due to injuries. Will be interesting to see. Think Zags win by 12.

Cal looked pretty good. Recognized Jovan Blacksher from GCU.

WI hangs on to win after ut rio grande missed a 2 with 2 seconds left down 1. Lots of contact which is only of note as WI didn’t make a fg over the last 4 min but managed to make 11 FTs while missing just 3 shots.
Ending FTs
UTRG: 9-11
WI: 27/32

I got all excited reading your post. Then I looked and the victory was for Wisconsin. Damn.
Sorry, I have to proofread before posting.
After watching the Arizona game and now seeing the final outcome, it looks like Wisconsin can shoot freethrows.

Cal beat USC 71 to 66
Ola Joseph leading rebounder at 7. Chipped in 6 points in 16 minutes
Muss suffers first loss at USC
****
P. Payne at Texas A&M is avg 7.3 ppg, playing 20 min on avg 7 for 17 from the line
5.8 reb avg and 7 blocks all in 4 games. He has not attempted a 3 yet.
****
Elijah Hawkins one game at Texas Tech...13 min 7 pts 5 assts
JT Toppin transfer from New Mexico ... leads team with 22.7 ppg, 9 reb pg, 2 blocks per game
74% shooting in 3 games playing avg 24 min....undefeated

Of course they did.
Do we really grasp how bad the Gophers have been playing! ?
Did you know that McNeese is good? Rated higher than MN, won 30 games last year, took Alabama to the wire this year, and coached by Will Wade (who I've seen mentioned here as a home run hire to replace Johnson). That was not a bad loss for UNT.

Thanks for the update. BGSU took Michigan State down to the last few minutes. UTRG took Wisconsin down to the wire.
Regardless, none of this bodes well for the Gophers.

These are not the same situations at all. McNeese is headed toward possibly being ranked and getting a pretty nice seed in the tournament if they take care of business. Not the others. Maybe be open to new knowledge instead of internet tough guy trying to put everyone else down.
