Alabama beat McNeese 72-64 at home last night. McNeese will probably win the Southland again. Came back from 21 down to make it a single digit game midway through the 2nd half.

A lot of returned production from last year and some really good transfers. Really good defensive team. Will Wade Really has turned them around.

You mean this Will Wade:

On March 7, 2019, it was reported that Wade discussed an offer to a recruit, which was overheard on a Federal Bureau of Investigation wiretap.[4] Wade described the payment as a "strong-ass offer", and in the transcripts he is quoted as saying that he was frustrated with the situation: “I’ll be honest with you, I’m fucking tired of dealing with the thing. Like I’m just fucking sick of dealing with the shit. Like, this should not be that fucking complicated.”[4] The following day, LSU announced that he was indefinitely suspended amid the FBI's probe

Honestly, we would be lucky to land Will Wade, if/when CBJ is fired.

Unlike the Kansas/UNC game....the Kansas/Michigan State game is lousy. They can't make a shot. Missing layups to go along with a combined 0-13 from three.

What had the FBI after him in 2019 is a peanuts legit offer today.

Yes, that Will Wade. I am aware of what he did at LSU. While what he did was really bad, McNeese needed a new coach and he knew that if he fucked up there, that would be it for him. He said "they needed me and I needed them." He chose to stay this off-season, despite numerous offers (just going off what I heard on the broadcast) and it seems like he hasn't taken this 2nd chance lightly. Some people actually do that.
Besides all that, the guy can coach, like I said. The season before they went 11-23. His first season, they had 30 wins. Even in a conference like the Southland, that is proof the guy knows how to get the best from his players.

I know it's Kentucky but did anyone catch last night when they said Mark Pope had ZERO returning players from last years squad. This years team is a team completely new, made of recruits and transfers. One of those transfers played for him last year at BYU, other than none of the players on this years team has played with any of his teammates.

$$$$$$$ makes all things easier.
It's a professional racket and those without cash lose.

I get that for sure. His starters and first off the bench players transferred from Dayton, Delaware, Drexel, WV, OU, BYU with a recruit sprinkled in. Give HC Mark Pope some credit here, the guy knows how to coach.

Never said he can't coach.

I don't know if anyone noticed the University of Portland v. Oregon game on Tuesday night but the final margin is a bit misleading. Oregon won by 10 points in overtime but Portland was ahead from about the 8:00 mark of the 1st half until the buzzer at the end of the second half. A poor performance by Portland in the last minute or two of regulation is all that prevented them from pulling off a major upset.

The Portland Pilots have had only one winning season in the last 10 years and lost their prior game to UC Santa Barbara by 39 points!
