If they can consistently get games under three hours - let's say in the 2:45 range - the bars and restaurants around Target Field will be getting more after-game business.

weeknight game starts at 6:40 - games could be done by 9:15 to 9:30pm. Even a 7:10 Friday night game could be done before 10:00pm. plenty of time to grab a bite to eat or a drink - maybe even more than one drink.....

So we have one guy that got whacked in the face, one guy with with a ruptured UCL, and one guy with shoulder soreness and it is March 2nd. Sounds about right. Anybody else I've missed?

Julien has been manifeque this spring - I’m guessing he could play some third if need be in addition to second
He actually played 3B in college and has played some in the minors too. Has also played a little 1B and OF too. It's a big advantage now days if you can play multiple positions like that.

I have a baseball man crush on Julien. He could be Arraez with more power.

Plus his nickname is Walk Machine/ lead all minor leaguers (across all levels) in free passes over the last 2 seasons

Having nasty stuff?
1 IP - 2 H - 4R - 3 ER - 1 BB - 1 K - 1 HR (A Grand Slam!)

Pagan's inning went - error - walk - line out - single - Grand Slam - ground out - strikeout

Sonny Gray started and gave up 3 runs on 2 hits, but all three runs were unearned. He loaded the bases on 2 hits and an error, and a relief pitcher I've never heard of allowed all three runs to score, helped by another error. Gordon with 2 errors in the inning.

game is in the bottom of the 4th as I post this and the Twins have 4 errors.

on the plus side, Farmer with a HR for the Twins.

This game shows that no matter what baseball does to speed up the game when it’s played sloppily and poorly it still takes forever

So glad we brought him back, despite these "unfortunate batted ball outcomes" 🙄. #FireFalvey

They need to do one of those player surveys in the MLB that was performed in the NFL. I have a sneaking suspicion the Twins rehab/strength team would get less than glowing remarks.
There are rumors that Assistant to the GM Carlos Correa and the old athletic trainer. Take that for that ever it’s worth.

There's still a Month before the regular season. you really can't get too worked up over spring training games for a couple of weeks.

now, if you get into the last week of Spring Training and pitchers are getting shelled or hitters are swinging like a rusty gate, that's when you can get worried.

Personally, I would like to know something about Buxton's status, but I'm not holding my breath while waiting for the team to tell us anything of substance.

Didn't need him. We've got Pagan and Megill.

There must be something else going on with him. He was OK last year. 2 million for a lefty is peanuts. And the Twins pen isn't exactly flush with left-handed options.
I'm not dying on the Brad Hand hill specifically. But not bringing back Fulmer or another veteran like Hand both of whom signed for peanuts, because you're rolling with Pagan at twice the salary is pure Derek Falvey hubris.
