They were doubling Gordon, the ball was passed, they chased the ball and it went back to Gordon for a 3.

Timberwolves down 11 heading to the 4th. We need to make a run in the 1st 1 minutes.
 

Nuggets 90 Timberwolves 79 after 3.

Edwards has 37 and is +1
Gobert has only 4 with 8 rebounds and is +2
Towns, who needs to quit driving and fire-up some more 3's, has 11 and 9 and no turnovers. He's also only 4 for 16 but is +1

The bench? Only Reid is helping the team.
 















It's not effort, tonight. It's defensive scheme. They're over committing and doubling leaving wide open looks all the time.

It's Gordon going 11/12 or whatever the fuk he is.......what a friggin killer.

And every bench player they had couldn't miss a clutch shot.

There bench was 6 for 9 on 3's

So disappointing!

Is that not how the wolves won games 1 and 2? The stars are gonna star. It’s the other guys that make the difference.

That was by design on defense.

The Wolves lost due to good old-fashioned Xs and Os. They need to change how they defend. Less doubling, less over committing. Otherwise, this series is over in 6.

It would also help if McDaniels and NAW could hit open 3s.

Still a chance to take the series. But not feeling good.
 

How does this team get better? KAT can't be the second best player on a championship team. And while Gobert is a great defensive player he's an offensive liability. The team with the most points still wins and this team doesn't have a second consistent scorer when it needs three more above average offensive players to make up for Rudy's complete inabilty to do anything with a basketball.

It's very difficult - impossible - to imagine the Wolves winning 2 of the next 3.
 


My take the wolves now need to try and play better offense than Denver. It was all fun and games in games 1 and 2 playing defense. Denver has figured it out. The wolves need more offense and better spacing. That means more Naz. That would help to clear out the paint for ANT. I know it’ll be a defensive downgrade, but the defense has not been there the last two games.
 


The Wolves didn't lose this game because of offense.

They played defense differently the last two games and that's been the difference. They need to go back to what worked in games 1 and 2 where they contested everything.

Lotta series left to go.

We are now having scoring droughts. It's for long stretches of the game.

I think we are going to see this more.

Lose this series and there will need to be changes.
 



Wolves miss 9 Free Throws in a game that they lost by 8.

They also couldn't get a stop most of the game.

107 was more than they scored in games 1 and 2.

On top of that the 8 points they gave up in the 20 seconds before half was the difference in the game.
