It was about Taylor but the point stands, unfortunately.

Yep, Taylor has given millions to Minnesota State University Mankato but don't think his generosity extends to the U.

I've been wrong already today.

Got some stuff going on so didn't see it all. No Edwards and foul trouble sent Gobert to the bench very early. Quit watching when the free throws were 28-11 in favor of New Orleans. Looked today and Williamson and Ingram had 21 FT attempts. The Wolves as a team had 19.

At least McDaniels and McLaughlin are back. Though they understandably looked rusty last night.

"The story was 40 free-throw attempts,'' Wolves coach Chris Finch told reporters after the game. "Nineteen in the third quarter, 28 in the second half. A lot of fouls. A lot of foul calls."

Finch said he'd have to look at the film, but suggested he had a problem with some of the calls. Foul problems handcuffed Rudy Gobert; fellow center Karl-Anthony Towns fouled out in the fourth quarter..

The Wolves committed 10 fouls and sent the Pelicans to the free-throw line 12 times in the first half. In the second quarter alone, 18 fouls led to the Pelicans' 28 attempts. New Orleans' 17-point edge on points from the line were, as Finch noted, the difference in a game in which both teams made 40 field goals and the Wolves had a nine-point edge from the three-point line.

But the Pelicans were clearly more physical and were a load in the paint, where they scored 56 points. This was especially true with Williamson, who made 13 of 17 shots and 10 of 12 free-throw attempts.

Still, down 15 midway through the third quarter, the Wolves bench made a charge. McDaniels scored eight points and Reid six in a 23-12 end to the quarter — ended by McLaughlin's half-court, buzzer-beating three — that pulled Minnesota within 90-86 entering the fourth.

That didn't last. McCollum hit two threes and Jones had a three-point play to start the fourth quarter and the Pelicans' lead was back to 13.

After scoring 15 points on 5-for-5 shooting in the first half, Towns had only two points, one rebound and no field goals made in the second. And there wasn't enough help around him, with Edwards on the bench, to make up for that.

"They were doubling [Towns]," Finch said. "They were super physical. He couldn't get a clean look in the post."..

Yes he is. I wonder if he will get suspended again. I would say they need to suspend him.
Not sure if I'm in the minority here, but clearly these 3-5 game suspensions aren't sending a message. I'd give him 50 games, and if he pulls something like this again, a full season. He's a danger to other players and adds no entertainment value for us fans.

I was thinking 20 games would suffice. I like your thinking better though.

Don't disagree with that. I hope they start with 15 games or a month at least. Green's desire for the spotlight will never be triggered with another 5 games.

Yes, especially since he just returned from suspension.

If some random player would just drill him in the face and drop him, he'd be a legend forever. The league wouldn't be able to give many games to the person who did it.

Basketball players are too soft though

Lot of them would have been willing to do that when the minimum salary was $145,000 or less. Not so many are willing to do that now that the minimum is $915,000(?) for someone with less than a year of service. The average player salary? Much higher.

They're not soft. They're all damn accountants.

Indefinite suspension is a good start.

SAN FRANCISCO – The NBA announced Wednesday that Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is being suspended indefinitely after he struck Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face during Tuesday night's loss.

Joe Dumars, the league's Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations announced the suspension less than 24 hours after the incident.

"This outcome takes into account Green's repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts," the league said in a statement..

Wolves (17-5) in Dallas tonight's for a 7:30 game against Dallas (15-8). It could be an unusual one. Take a look at the injury reports.

checked the Wolves' score earlier - the Mavericks jumped out to a 17-2 lead over the Wolves after just 3-minutes-14-seconds of the 1st quarter. I thought, this is a lost cause, and did other things.

Just checked back to see how bad it was going - the Wolves are UP 106-93 with a little over 4 minutes left in the game. that means they've outscored Dallas 104-76 since that bad start.

from the box score, Ant had a really rough night (3 of 19 FGA) but Naz went nuts with 27 points.

maybe this year's team really is different.

Nice win. I knew Edwards wasn't doing well offensively, but didn't realize he was just 3 of 19 until just looking at the box score.
Dang, Mavs get 8 points out of 66 minutes from 2 starters, Williams and Jones. Ouch.
