Or he’s good friends with Lindor, both from, PR.Has a Boras client ever not waited until Free Agency to sign? Maybe Strasburg.
I can comfortably say there was a 99.99% chance Correa was going to wait until at least December to sign anything (barring injury), regardless of what was being offered.
Moving to 3B is really puzzling, unless whatever was discovered in the physical may limit his effectiveness at SS.
And/Or he wants to win at least one more ring and believes with good cause that Cohen and the Mets! Give him the best chance
And/Or he sees that it will extend his career and effective’s ala Ripken/A-Rod
Excellent article below where Boras basically calls the Giants BS out as a simple excuse, the medical stuff/reports are well known ahead of time in these types of deals, I.e. due diligence provided by the agents ahead of time-sounded to me like the Giants wussed out and Boras simply called Cohen as he knew of his interest before the Giant signing - a few hours later, Correra is a Met.
Lesson being don’t order the seafood if you have to ask what the MP is.
Boras: Giants wouldn't seal Correa deal, so he called Mets
Carlos Correa was in the St. Regis San Francisco with his parents, brother and in-laws, ready to head to Oracle Park for his introductory news conference. That's when agent Scott Boras asked the prized player to meet him in room 1212.
