All Things 2021 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

This team is pretty good on 3rd down stops...

...Not so much on 4th downs.

EDIT: Bateman had a shot at that pass. Would've been a huge play. Pass coulda been better, though.

Calling TO right after the pick, after the 1st down run, with 1:40 left before half, was so mobumentally stupid as to defy explanation.
They had an injured player so had to call a time out. One of their lineman was hurt.

These announcers absolutely love the Ravens.

Seems to be the case for every game we play. Commentators hate us lol.

EDIT: FFS. The old Zimmer + Kirk special on 3rd down.

Ravens picking up 3rd and long by giving it to fast people. Vikings not picking up 3rd and long by giving it to a slow tight end. Tomorrow may be the day of reckoning for Zim and the staff.

Gee who would have guessed it’s more exciting and easier to like a team that is exciting and plays exciting football vs. the dullass Vikings and their 3 yards in a cloud of dust.

So much this. It was incredibly stupid and unnecessary. You’re in the red zone, have 3 timeouts. No reason to stop the clock. You want it to run.

Seemed like Vikes would run away with it after the first 2 drives. But here we are with a Ravens TD lead, exactly as Vegas predicted.

Nice catch, JJ!

1:03 is way too much time left when you have Tucker on the other side.

Great catch by Bateman, wow

What would you have then do..take a knee from the two yard line.
Nah. Just putting it out there. I don't think there is a Vikings fan out there comfortable right now.

3rd OT game this year so far. Does Zimmer get a bonus for one score games or something?

Good question for the Wild as well. No such thing as a comfortable win in this state lol

The espn game chart only shows 1 timeout after the second down play.
It’s wrong. The possession started with 1:41 on the clock. That says they took the 2nd TO with 1:33. The 1st down play was a run. Impossible without taking a TO. ESPN is always wrong.

Nice play by Barr, he’s been having a pretty quiet year.

The time is nigh for a CJ Ham screen on 3rd and long.

Booo. Wake me up when Zimmer and Kubiak are fired.

All the Vikings can do is hope the best kicker in the league can miss a mid range kick to hope they tie. The fact it wasn’t 21-3 at the half is all you need to know about the zimmer reign of terror.

The penalties and culture so to speak require new coaching. Just that alone.

You can just feel it every single time. It's the same type of loss and it becomes a habit.

Everyone knew the Vikings needed to go for 2 at the end. The defense was gassed and that was the only time in the 2nd half the offense had any rhythm. This along with the end of first half debacle is why Zimmer is such a terrible in game coach.
