2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Instate recruiting has been bad ever since Minnesota started producing multiple high major players. Not a secret. Will be even harder now that there will be fewer opportunities for younger players.
Actually it may well improve. We have a better coach and with less high D1 opportunities they may stay home more.

Which is why I am personally grateful for St. Thomas becoming a second destination for DI talent. Minnesota can afford this second DI school.

Some buzz of Heide getting more than we were willing to pay.
Here come the swarm of "Obviously Niko didn't want Heide" posts.
It was bound to happen on one of these fronts. The Gophers have some money, but if a rich program is willing to overpay...it's not much different than the free agent market in the pros. No team ends up with their entire wish list. If his folks still lived here, that would be one thing, but I think they live south now; do I remember that right?

You have mentioned Wade as a coach who is not good and as ethical just like Pearl. Who do you want to fill out the rosters…or are you just going to complain on everything as you always do? If you are a fan of Wisconsin just admit it..or fill out a reasonable roster without complaining and trashing every poster. Cameron Heide had like 5 points per game.
