2025 Minnesota High School Football Thread

If you want proof 6a shouldn’t be separated completely from the other classes and should have regular season games vs 5a

Moorhead was 5a last year in state title game
Rogers was 5a last year beat 3 6a non maroon teams.
Andover was 6a last year beat 3 6a non relief teams
Mayo had been up and won a playoff game in each of 2023 and 2024
Mayo then moves down to 5a and is good but not great (state tourney but 5 losses)

Yeah, as a follower of Northfield I don't see why there can't be a crossover game or two against any of the nearby schools/districts they used to play, like Eastview or Farmington.

I don't consider Hastings non-metro. They're the county seat of Dakota County and they played in the St. Paul Suburban conference for years.
Agreed. Hastings is the last what I would call non-big school to win the largest class, in 2000 or 2001. Obviously before 6A was created.

Considering he was drafted in the first round of NHL draft he’s made the right call. He’s leaving school after the season to play juniors this winter.
Are you fully on board? QB pays better, you keep more teeth. It worked out for Patrick though Joe eschewed it.
