2025 Minnesota High School Football Thread

The legend is the two board members that couldn’t agree on where to build a new school due to their loyalty to their hometown ended the district. I believe everyone got to open enroll where they want between Hutchinson, Sibley East, Glenco and others.
Yeah, apparently Stewart's school was in better shape but it was closed in favor of keeping Brownton's open which didn't sit well with folks from Stewart. It was also part of the financial issues as the Brownton school was going to require a lot more money to repair and maintain.

Yes, GFW gets some of the kids from that disbanded district. In building the new school in Gibbon, I assume they are hoping for more.

38-0 JCC at half. Voss with 4 Rushing and 2 passing TD’s. Also a pick on defense. Eden Valley is up 5-1 in stopping 2pt conversions.
Not motivated enough to pay for the subscription but will definitely try and tune in to the free stream of the championship game.

Voss puts up video game numbers against 2A competition.

Yeah, lots of surrounding small towns tend to open enroll at the biggest school or they're just in that bigger town's school district.

Like out here in Hutchinson we get kids from Stewart, Cedar Mills, Brownton, and Biscay.

It's why classes go by enrollment not by population. And the further North you go it seems like the more of these bigger schools have the surround towns sending kids to their school.
👍

Alex changed their name to Alexandria Area HS.

Not sure if this was already posted but here are a bunch of highlights from the Edina/Minnetonka game. Some really impressive passing from both teams but especially the Edina QB. Wonder how it would have played out if #2 for Tonka didn't get hurt in the second half?

The Kasson-Mantorville and Grand Rapids game went absolutely insane in the last ~3 minutes. Grand Rapids recovered TWO onside kicks and converted two two points. GR attempted a last second Hail Mary and had a chance at the win but couldn’t pull it out. KM Defense came to PLAY in that game.

If hockey wasn’t in the picture, how high level of a football recruit do we think West could have been? He plays so smoothly.
