2024 Bowl Projections Tracker

.but they then decided to leave the roof open prior to the game while it rained (stupid).....so they could have parachuters during the anthem or something (dumb). The rain itself isn't an issue.....as football games are played in the rain often......but seeing as how the grass wasn't settled, the rain made the field conditions very poor and dangerous.
And that won't happen again. The field won't be an issue.

Yankee Stadium is wayyyyyy worse.

I would bet a lot of money that Michigan or Nebraska will end up in NY.

They're big names that are rarely available for that game because Michigan is usually a lot better and Nebraska never makes a bowl.
The pinstripe bowl has never had a repeat big ten team and I think they like that. Both fit the no repeat trend

Rutgers repeated but as a member of a different league

No matter how many times you repeat this nonsense, it's still nonsense.
No matter how much you deny reality. It’s literally true

I mean....yes....they are in the same "tier". But the Belk/Mayo Bowl has always been considered a better destination than the Pinstripe Bowl and the quality of teams that go there has been consistently higher outside of a couple exceptions (typically on the Big Ten's end).

Correct
I don’t see why reality seems to be so controversial

Nebraska writers seem to think they are going to New York.
I think we're pretty much going to Charlotte
Yeah, I’ve seen some steam online around Charlotte online today. I’ll guess the following:

Citrus: Illinois
Relinquist: Iowa
Music City: Michigan
Mayo: Minnesota
Pinstripe: Nebby
Rate: Rutgers

If Reliaquest lobbies hard for Michigan (totally possible), I think the B1G would place Iowa in the Mayo since they were recently in the Music City which would send Minnesota to Nashville.

Brett McMurphy on the 'Action Network' has been predicting Michigan to the Reliaquest Bowl.

I assume because Michigan is a helmet school.

his B1G predictions

Citrus - Illinois vs South Carolina
ReliaQuest - Michigan vs Florida
Music City - Iowa vs Missouri
Mayo - MN vs VA Tech
Pinstripe - Nebraska vs Syracuse
Rate - Rutgers vs Kansas State

Sun - Washington vs Louisville
Vegas - USC vs Texas A&M

and - Game Above (Detroit) - Toledo vs Boston College

Nashville is totally cool with me and I'm sure a lot of other fans.

Which would be completely understandable. If Kaleb Johnson is sitting out.....Iowa's offense will likely be painful to watch.

And I'd rather the Gophers go to the Music City Bowl than the Mayo Bowl. There are just a lot fewer interesting matchups with the ACC. Louisville or Duke would be good matchups.....and there is some steam with Duke.....but a 6-6 Virginia Tech team doesn't spark much excitement. Neither does another matchup with Georgia Tech or a game with Boston College.

Still like GT myself. Some of their fans see a game with us as a means of avenging the beatdown from 2018 from Tanner, Mo, and the Defense as Coach Paul Johnson was on his way out.

Revenge is a great ingredient for a "who really cares" bowl.

Of course, but that is not the argument being made. USAF thinks he is being clever but he is arguing against a semantical argument that he is wrong about.

I think everyone would prefer Charlotte to NYC but in the tier system they are considered "equals".

Sure, slick.

Everyone prefers one over the other because they're equals.

Watching you argue the ridiculous is entertaining.

I got bored today and trolled B1G message boards for bowl predictions.

1. Rumor is Nebraska players have been told it’s Pinstripe…which isn’t all that surprising to me. But this was just one random admin on a board saying it, so grain of salt.

2. No solid rumors from Mich or Iowa boards, but both fanbases seem super apathetic. Their bowl projections threads are way shorter than this one, and they’re both lamenting the opt-outs and mostly hoping for a winnable game. Lots of Iowa fans think Mich will get picked for the Reliaquest and Hawks will end up in Charlotte given they were in Nashville 2 years ago.

3. Rutgers threads are the longest, and the admins/big post count guys are saying nothing has been decided and it’ll literally be Sunday morning until agreements are in place.

Any opinions on if what has happened today has started to point the Gophers toward a specific bowl?

Let’s just hope the pinstripe bowl doesn’t want us because we all remember that pinstripe selects before mayo. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Kind of surprised by that from Hawkeye fans, they won 8 games including all of their rivalry trophy games. Not an awful season.

As for the Gophers, I have a feeling it will be Music City, but ReliaQuest would be awesome. Even if it's not on NYD anymore.

Will Minnesota be the first team since ____ to play a bowl with the name of their opponent in the game? This would happen if playing Duke in the Duke's Mayo Bowl, which seems to be the most common projection the last couple weeks.

Other possibles I can think of: vs Florida in the Gator Bowl, vs Texas in the Texas Bowl, vs UNLV in the Las Vegas Bowl, vs UCLA in the LA Bowl, UAB in the Birmingham Bowl

There's been a few location matches as organizers look to fill seats with local teams, but I can't recall any sponsor matches like Duke's and Duke.

Just don't want to play Suckacuse. Their fans are posers and obnoxious. That and we have played them in bowls multiple times. Just say no to Suckacuse.

Basically all the projections point to the Mayo Bowl now. Virginia Tech looks like the most common opponent.....but I've also seen NC State, Duke, and Louisville. Hoping for one of the two latter teams....and the opportunity to play a power conference teams with a record better than ours in a bowl game for a change.
