2024-25 Wild Season

First Wild game I've ever been to where I left early. St Paul Hotel was full of shellshocked Wild fans.......
Is that hotel walking distance to the X? We always stay at the Holiday Inn across the street from the X. Getting a bit spendy though

6 minute walk.

Weathered the sloppy storm in the first period, with Fleury saving the day on a few Grade A chances. Kaprizov with a ridiculous goal off the goalie’s mask into the upper corner from a sweet purposefully executed pass off the boards behind the net from the left point to the right side of the net by 4. Boldy finally cashed in on a wide open breakaway on a massive defensive breakdown. 200 career points. He’s 23!

Stay out of the penalty box and put this one away.

The Wild hosting the VGK in a game that is the back end of a back-to-back for both teams; two home games for the Wild while VGK will be flying in from Edmonton.

Too much for the road weary Knights, not to mention the two teams took different approaches with handling their Goalies in the back-to-back; the Wild went with Fleury last night, saving Gus for the Vegas game while VGK went with starter Adin Hill at Edmonton last night, and will be starting backup Samsonov. Samsonov is either really great or really bad.

I took the Wild on the (-1.5) puck line and the OVER total of 6 goals. The only way the Wild don't win this one is if VGK responds with an inspired defensive effort after a very atypical poor defensive game against the Oilers, but on the back end of a road back-to-back, I don't see it.

EDIT: Well I sure as hell didn't expect the Wild to be starting Wallstedt in goal.

4-1 Florida after 2. Florida on their 5th road game and Wild haven't played since Sunday. Wild have one line right now. 2,3, and 4 have been pretty much absent during this mini skid. Need number 14 back

And we need production from 12. And SOMEBODY else. Anybody. Rossi has gone dark too. This is a bad skid. Not scoring and giving up goals in bunches.

After losing to Utah at home tonight they are officially in a slump. No offense to speak of. Ugly hockey right now. Not to mention 0-5 on the man advantage

5-0 Jets. The wheels have fallen off the bus. That was a complete embarrassment tonight

Let’s just take a peek at the last few scores, shall we. Just for shits and giggles.
7-1 L
4-1 W
3-2 L
6-1 L
2-1 L
5-0 L

Outscored 24-9 in the last 6 games

Had no idea the entire league was taking 3 full days off for Christmas. Good move by the NHL; give the players a much-needed break and why compete with the NFL and NBA anyway?

They pretty much always do if I remember right

Wild look like absolute garbage. No Kap tonight and boy does it show. 6 shots in 34 minutes so far yet only down 1-0 to Dallas

They were completely dead in the water until the final minute of the second period. One really nice goal and one pretty lucky goal tied it up - and less than 30 seconds into overtime Faber ends it with a classic wrap around. That flight home was going to suck. But now they should enjoy it.

And if we're a betting man I would have put it all on Dallas to win it. Unbelievable

Wild couldn't feed off their crazy win in Dallas to carry over tonight. Got pass happy again and the main culprit was Boldy. The last minute of the game with goalie pulled he made consecutive bad passes with the last one resulting in an empty net goal and sealing the win for the Sens. Good news is Erickson-Ek is back

oh boy. Wild can't catch a break. Jared Spurgeon leaves the game with a injured leg. Why or why can't we have nice things.

Didn't get to see the game tonight but Fleury stopped Ovi on the last shootout attempt to give the Wild a 4-3 win. Hartman with a goal and assist. Maybe this gets him going

If you recorded the game, watch Boldy's 1-on-2 effort in OT. The Flower's stop on Ovi in the SO was the perfect ending.

Very solid game for the Wild but I can't wait to get KK back.

I listened to it on my way back from hockey practice in a town we co-op with. They mentioned that Boldy play but I could just vision in my mind when Ovi got gloved by the Flower

Dude got 3 games for that cheap slew foot. Sounds like he's been suspended 9 times in the AHL
Match penalties should carry a minimum suspension of equal number of games missed by the victim. Convince me why not. Three games for that? He better hope Spurgeon doesn’t have friends on other teams- especially ones out of the playoff hunt. Someone needs to teach that pecker a lesson.
