2023 College Basketball Transfer Portal Watch Thread

You have no comprehension ability. I’m not a fan of bringing in Nelson either although I am pretty sure he would be good. Much better than the good Battle.

We will likely open the upper Midwest market last. The people up there are extremely dumbed down. Certainly Chicago first.

Tyler Burton would significantly improve Ben Johnson's chances of keeping his job. Hopefully the connection to Coach Jenkins is enough for Coach Johnson to get a chance to make his pitch. Obviously we need to prioritize talent over position, but Nelson being a 4/5 makes him far less of a need than a true wing like Burton.

Now Grant Nelson can make sense. Our thinnest position is at the 5. We have a part time starter returning. Payne. Now if injuries or even dings hit him or foul trouble we have…

Arthur Kaluma, Creighton?

Mike Sharavjamts, Dayton?

James Graham, Mizzou State?

Richard Springs, UConn?

Does he want to come here to be a backup to Payne?

Heck, we already lost out on Hunter Dickinson because he didn't want to play behind Pharrel:(

Nelson is a forward. Dickinson is a center. Your sarcasm is duly noted. Most are a bit overly enthused about Payne.

Lol you were touting our massive back up.... Oh wait that's right he's just for practice.... Either way some of y'all were/are you wanting him playing 10/15 min a game of hack a Shaq.....

Nelson could never beat out Betts after the way he destroyed Battle in practice last year...
Maybe but that’s the wrong forward spot. It’s Garcia at the 4 and precious few would take his minutes. Now Ryan James just suggested Betts playing the 3 and 4 because of his rapid development. Stay tuned. You’re in for Gopher Basketball kicking B1G butts.

Betts is not NDSU quality. Maybe Nelson isn’t now either. I won’t disparage him like you run down Gopher players day after day.

Michigan just picked up Oliver Nkamhoa, a 6' 9" PF transfer and two year starter from Tennessee. He fills a spot of real need and is good both on offense and defense.
