Illinois against FAU at MSQ
wisconsin @ MSU

Badger really playing well. My word they look great.

I think we'll have a better idea of how good they are after Arizona. MSU seems down or at least learning to play together yet. Marquette was a rivalry game at home. The Providence loss feels like a year ago for them, but proves they can have an off night too.

Izzo has work to do. Spartans look lost, and currently have one guy that you can trust to put the ball in the bucket (Walker).

It’s early, but the 25-year NCAA Tournament streak could be in some jeopardy. Unlike most seasons, the Spartans have done next to nothing in the non-conference. Only decent win is Butler. It’s really important they beat Baylor when they play BU in Detroit.

Hate looking at their schedule because just reinforces what a mess this has become.

Relax. The worst that could happen is that you could be witnessing another losing season. Since we've had four in a row and five of the last six, that's nothing we haven't seen before.

Back to "Other Games" observations, Michigan and Indiana look like evenly matched teams. Neither is great but they have enough athleticism and quality to keep it entertaining.

Close game between SDSU and GCU right now. GCU atmosphere pretty cool.

Michigan State is like a legacy candidate. They're past their family's era of greatness but their history still gives them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to tournament selection. Getting into the NCAA tournament as an at-large team with a 15-12 record in 2021 kind of speaks for itself.

Storr and Blackwell were very good pick ups for the Badgers. A hot 3-point shooting Wisconsin looks like it can beat anyone. Let's hope we see the rotten-shooting Wisconsin team that lost to Tennessee and Providence re-emerge.

How many recent years has Izzo's team been hyped up, ranked in the Top 10 to start the season, and proceeded to fall flat on its face in early matchups? Feels like a yearly occurance now.

I was concerned about your guys' roster makeup without a go-to guy like Hauser this year. The history says they'll eventually figure it out, though.

BIG teams in action today
Rutgers @ Wake Forest
Penn State @ Maryland
Miami Ohio @ Ohio State
Gophers host Nebraska.

Holy bleeping bleep, Wisconsin is good. I hate to say this, folks, but they might be better than us this year.
And assuming no one transfers out, they only lose Wahl after this season. Virtually the entire roster is back next season.

Who do they have coming in from Lakeville North next year?

Robison and Daniel Freitag were the 2 signees

Rutgers got a commitment from Dylan Harper today. They have the #2 & #3 (Airious Bailey) players on the ESPN 2024 top 100 list.

Nice to see a guy succeed at a level that seems to fit his abilities. I'll be curious to see if he attempts a grad transfer to another high major when the time comes. Assist to turnover ratio needs work, though.

The Colorado State men's basketball team will be without another key player for the near future.
Starting shooting guard Josiah Strong suffered a broken wrist in a fall in the closing minutes of Saturday's win over Washington. (It was his left wrist, non-shooting).
He'll miss roughly six weeks, CSU coach Niko Medved said Tuesday.
