2023-2024 College Basketball Other Games Thread

It's going to end up being a bad loss in the only OOC game of note. We should absolutely care, given the context of how the game played out and what Missouri did today.

I don't worry about such things. If you want to worry about stuff like that, knock yourself out.

San Diego State gives up their 9 point lead with 1:48 left in the game as Washington takes them to OT.

Former Rutgers guard Mulcahy for Washington, has 2 FT to win it with 1 second left, but goes 1-2.

San Diego State scores the last 6 points in OT to win 100-97, after a missed foul call on a last second 3 by Washington.

Pretty sure this was the tournament we chickened out on.

Evans with another massive first half versus Indiana. 0 pts 0 rebounds 0 blocks 0 shot attempts and 1 foul. Multiple mentions again of wingspan. The NIL deal for him to leave may be a saving grace right now as he looks light years away from contributing on offense and does next to nothing defensively

It's not too shocking that the main DENNIS EVANS hype and the "Betts dominated Battle in practice" hype came from the same delusional poster....

They are playing him for a reason. My guess is that they think he has a bright future. I still wish we had him- not that he would be helping us today but he would be a good future piece.

Wisconsin wins 65-41. Struggled with the 3 but scored in the paint.
That's what the studio analyst (Jim Jackson) said, but 8-18 from 3 is not really struggling (44%). UVa had cut the deficit to 5 with 12:54 to go. They scored 6 points the rest of the way. Whether that was good D by Wisconsin or bad O by UVa? Probably both. UVa was ranked, but they are probably more like a 50-ish ranked team, at least right now.

Yeah, it seemed like they missed quite a few in a row, but looking at the play by play they had made more than I thought earlier to offset that. They also got quite a few offensive rebounds for extra chances to help pull away.

AK-Pine Bluff (3-2) with 4 guards that score well.
Milton 23 points per game
Williams 18
French 17
Martin 10

should be fun and a test of our guard play being able to move their feet. they look pretty horrible defensively however, giving up 100 to Incarnate Word last time out
