No time, or deep desire, to research, but wondering how many of the places with mass exodus are associated with coaches and schools "parting ways." Also, wondering if transfer portal data distinguishes between grad transfers and not.As of Tuesday morning, transfer portal is close to 600.
Leading outbound transfer schools:
Alabama State Hartford George Mason Green Bay La Salle Texas - Rio Grande Valley Western Carolina Ball State IUPUI Loyold Marymount New Hampshire North Dakota State Radford Rhode Island Southern MS Cal State Northridge Charleston Southern Eastern Illinois East Tennessee Northeastern Prairie View A&M Saint Joseph's South Dakota Tarleton State Tennessee Tech The Citadel Utah
Alabama State's recruiting motto should be: "Whatever you do, we need you!"
Someone mentioned here that Hartford is transitioning to D3 so those high numbers make sense.
The evidence so far doesn't fill me with regret that we didn't hire Craig Smith.
AND, OF COURSE: MINNESOTA GOPHERS - 0 (so far anyway)
I guess they don't have an award for the greatest one-year decline in outbound transfers but we'd be a leading contender if they did.
Still hoping Ben can fill gaping holes at point guard and center (I still call them centers) with immediate B1G quality contributors. If I had to prioritize, I would probably put point above the middle, but I think we need guys who can start right out of the shoot.
