No time, or deep desire, to research, but wondering how many of the places with mass exodus are associated with coaches and schools "parting ways." Also, wondering if transfer portal data distinguishes between grad transfers and not.As of Tuesday morning, transfer portal is close to 600.
Leading outbound transfer schools:
Alabama State 11Hartford 9George Mason 7Green Bay 7La Salle 7Texas - Rio Grande Valley 7Western Carolina 7Ball State 6IUPUI 6Loyold Marymount 6New Hampshire 6North Dakota State 6Radford 6Rhode Island 6Southern MS 6Cal State Northridge 5Charleston Southern 5Eastern Illinois 5East Tennessee 5Northeastern 5Prairie View A&M 5Saint Joseph's 5South Dakota 5Tarleton State 5Tennessee Tech 5The Citadel 5Utah 5
Alabama State's recruiting motto should be: "Whatever you do, we need you!"
Someone mentioned here that Hartford is transitioning to D3 so those high numbers make sense.
The evidence so far doesn't fill me with regret that we didn't hire Craig Smith.
AND, OF COURSE: MINNESOTA GOPHERS - 0 (so far anyway)
I guess they don't have an award for the greatest one-year decline in outbound transfers but we'd be a leading contender if they did.
Still hoping Ben can fill gaping holes at point guard and center (I still call them centers) with immediate B1G quality contributors. If I had to prioritize, I would probably put point above the middle, but I think we need guys who can start right out of the shoot.
