I retract my preceding post
Nice job by cinci being too aggressive, going 3 and out by getting behind sticks and now being down 14 at half. WhoopsNeed to be within 7 at half
Get some first downs so you don’t have to play defense again.
They got too aggressive
They tried to throw the ball beyond 10 yards on first downs, got behind the chains, 3 and out
the people who think they’re playing not to lose need to realize they went 3 and out because they “played to win”
Holding is legal for the following programs:18 on Cincy was mauled on that play where he flipped it to Robinson
this is why you can't play to "keep it close" vs Bama. They will always find some plays. You still have to be aggressive on Alabama's corners. If you get Bama behind, a la Auburn, they can't hammer your ass on the ground and your 2 high safety look helps.Need to be within 7 at half

And once again their RT doesn’t get set while in a 2 point stance. He’s constantly moving around, rocking back and forth.18 on Cincy was mauled on that play where he flipped it to Robinson

Ritter also isn't seeing the field fast enough to hit the crossers right now.Correct. Cincy needs to take shots and put up points. If they play to keep it close.....they have no shot.
Well they did what you’re wanted and tried to throw past the sticks and are now down 14this is why you can't play to "keep it close" vs Bama. They will always find some plays. Tide fans are happy. First half they passed 20 times and ran 25 times, four of those by the QB scrambling when no receivers open. Alabama passing game makes run game better.I wonder if Bama fans are bitching about all the running plays.
The King Of Bad Takes weighs in.Well they did what you’re wanted and tried to throw past the sticks and are now down 14
If only fickell would listen to you more and he could be a millionaire
that's really how it happens, as we know from all the Ohio State games in which the Gophers solidly matriculate the ball down the field and look very competitive. Then, their QB runs 80 yards up the middle on us for a TD, scoring in a way the Gophers simply cannot, and you can feel the boat sink a little bit.I was almost going to post that Cinci had made adjustments and keeping it close, then Bama "Usain Bolted" down the field like it was nothing. Maybe Cinci gets it back. Lots of time.
We should get ourselves a Heisman QB and top 10 pick at WR. That'd really open up our passing game.Tide fans are happy. First half they passed 20 times and ran 25 times, four of those by the QB scrambling when no receivers open. Alabama passing game makes run game better.
My bad I forgotHolding is legal for the following programs:

InfuriatingAnd once again their RT doesn’t get set while in a 2 point stance. He’s constantly moving around, rocking back and forth.
you do realize that Bama is missing a starting CB and the other guy is visibly limping out there right? You have to try make them run with your guys. you aren't going to beat Anderson and To'o To'o sideline to sideline which is what they're trying to do now. Oddly enough they've only scored 3 points. They have to take some shots with Pierce down the field and hope he can make some plays because Bamas athletes are drastically better and will outathlete you going laterally and Cinci isn't big enough to try just smash it back at BamaWell they did what you’re wanted and tried to throw past the sticks and are now down 14

I don't know, I think Cinci probably should have called more conservative plays on offense. They only ran the ball 5 times with Jerome Ford for almost 5 yards a pop. Their offense can't get off the field because they are passing too much. They've dropped back 20 times. It's resulted in 8/17 59 yards and 3 sacks. Part of the reason why Bama is finding ways to make plays is because they have a 45 to 27 advantage on total plays.this is why you can't play to "keep it close" vs Bama. Sure but they can't protect Ridder and they've only handed the ball off to Ford 5 times. Have fun with Bama's DL if they aren't concerned with the run. And if you throw deep and works, have fun getting into a track meet with Alabama.you do realize that Bama is missing a starting CB and the other guy is visibly limping out there right? It’s like Nova vs. Georgetown.that's really how it happens, as we know from all the Ohio State games in which the Gophers solidly matriculate the ball down the field and look very competitive. i can see where you're coming from with that. Personally I think it's the strategy of how they're trying to throw the ball. Shallow crosses and middle routes relying on Ritter's ability to read the field is not his strength. He's a shot/PA heavy QB and they've avoided that entirely putting him back in the pocket. Bama is weakest on the outside and the mix should be run heavy with play action deep outs/curls vs shots. Give Ritter a single read and throw. Instead he's giving him levels and/or slants and he just can't see it fast enough. Part of why I think it's comical we're talking about him as a 1st or 2nd round draft pick.I don't know, I think Cinci probably should have called more conservative plays on offense. My two cents - - the way this game has played out is precisely why Fickell should have been more run-dominant in the first half.
Yup and u know that the Wolverines ends will get pressure on YoungCincy did a good job of keeping it close but the last TD was the back breaker.
I think any college team with a strong defensive line and solid running game could beat Cincy this year.
There is nothing great about them.
For the record, I don't think Alabama is great either. I think Michigan can beat Georgia today and then Bama in the Championship, but it's just a theory.
entire game would hinge on Mich getting pressure with 4. I agree now that Metchie is out, Mich could absolutely keep Bama down if they can get the pressure that wayYup and u know that the Wolverines ends will get pressure on Young
Yeah, I agree. I think they should have been running the ball and attacking deep when they pass (go for chunks).i can see where you're coming from with that. On one hand, I hate Michigan. On the other hand, it would really piss off Ohio State fans and SEC fans.I actually feel like Michigan could win it all. Gross.
If not a Heisman level QB, maybe just a really good one.We should get ourselves a Heisman QB and top 10 pick at WR. That'd really open up our passing game.
It's almost like things that work at Alabama wouldn't necessarily work here.
