2021 ANNUAL GOPHERHOLE PICTORIAL COUNTDOWN!!

I don't know if I'll ever see another RB in the marron & gold who looked as explosive and smooth as Maroney. There was just something about him where you thought he would go the distance every time he scored. Mo is awesome, but Maroney was a first round pick for a reason.
While I agree with you, they were/ are such different backs.

When I watch Mo, I often wonder how much more Gary Russell could have been.

Darrell Thompson Speaks for himself. Michael Lehan has to be amongst the most underrated Gophers ever.

The video was of the Australian swimming coach.
Sorry to derail this thread, but I was watching that race last night and the coach's reaction was just so epic! He looked like the Ultimate Warrior when he was hanging on that barrier like shaking it back and forth. The best part was the poor Japanese woman (probably volunteering) trying to escort him back out of the restricted area.

No. 35 Hoese had a big night in the 2010 season opener while his dad was in the hospital.

Here's No. 35 Williams muscling his way through Purdue for a score.

Another Williams play is at 2:10, where he ran for a touchdown on fourth down.

I'll never tire of the Penn State Kicker laying on the turf.

Joey found it difficult to pop anyone in that game, so after Water's hit he had to lay on the ground for a while to get his air time.

Back in the days when we considered the kick return one of the essential, field position arrows in the offensive game quiver. Love PJs version of the Gophers’ offense—so many more weapons. But wish they still thought of kick returns as an offensive opportunity rather than a liability waiting to happen. Maybe statistical analysis says forget about kick returns. 🤷🏼‍♂️ And you got to have a “guy.”

I agree but Rodney Smith and Antoine Winfield Jr both had special teams returns for TDs during the Fleck era. Maybe a threat will emerge this year.
