Yeah, but with the way football is structured it makes sense not to have a minor league system the way the other sports do. NFL season is significantly shorter in terms of the number of games then the other major pro sports.

Little confused by this one as well because the roster on Gopher Sports shows this as being his final year. Think I remember another player doing this as well though so maybe just a social media thing. Edit - and I agree he would look great in purple next year.
