    Dennis Gates... He's my pick.

Was Fleck a good recruiter/coach before the Cotton Bowl? yes or no? Ability isn't always directly reflected in results, same with everything in life. Reality check is that the guys on here everyone wants, myself included, won't come here. Sweet odds--chances we get Beilein, Matta, Musselman...

    Dennis Gates... He's my pick.

I'm not thrilled about Gates but once again, bad comparison comparing him to Pitino. If you just want to look at one portion of the resume you are less than thrilled about that is fine, but repeating the same point (minimal HC experience) isn't really making your case. PJ Fleck had a losing...

    Dennis Gates... He's my pick.

I'm not saying we should be, I'm making the point that his resume's and Pitino's are not that similar. Guy actually was a staple in a program that saw its stock rise while he was there with the HC. Pitino hopped around via connections/name, not results.

    Dennis Gates... He's my pick.

Not really, when have we had more than 1 guy who can handle the ball? We can actually go 8/9 deep, we just don't have any semblance of an offense, and play inconsistent D. PG: Carr/Mash-haven't had 2 PGs Pitinio's entire tenure SG: Kalscheur/Carr SF: Tre/Gach PF: Johnson/Ihnen C...

    Dennis Gates... He's my pick.

Coaching resumes below...Pitino skated around off of his dads success/name. Gates at least has some HC experience and more significant work as an asst imo.

How Many Gophers Transfer? If Pitino is in fact fired like is being reported?

How many games do you think this team was capable of winning if we had a coach who knew how to devise some sort of game plan and you know, coach? Not sure why its egregious to think we could have the same type of season next year with a new coach. We were way more capable than what we did this...

    Jacob Knuth Commits!

Sweet, so his biggest strength was doing what an RB on our team could do (David Cobb), but not as well. I will never understand the boner people have over Leidners toughness or rushing ability, he was miserable. If you want to factor in his rushing yards, he averaged 187.6 yards total, passing...

    Jacob Knuth Commits!

He rushed for 300 yards dude, that is legit 30 a game. He wasn't busting games open w/his legs, and if he did, consider it making up for sailing a throw on a slant. He legit averaged 3.4 ypc, not that awesome. He couldn't do the one thing we needed him to do, hit an open receiver to move the...

    Pitino's Buyout

I wouldn't necessarily mind Dutcher, but he does kind of have a weird resume. Guy is 61 with 4 years of head coaching experience, while not having left Cali since arriving in '99. At the same time, he has won at Michigan and SDSU as associate head coach, and he's been under Steve Fischer who is...

Pitino Era All-Time Starting Five and Sixth Man

What isn't correct? I said Gabe's FG% last year would have been McBrayers 2nd best shooting season, which is true. 44.8>37.6% (Gabes '19/'20 season)>32%/35.7%/35.1. We have the least amount of guys that can get to the rim as we have ever had this year. Gabe doesn't have the luxuries McBrayer had...

Henry Lake-Pitino gone, will coach out remainder of season

Its about winning it all, there is no denying that, but B1G has put multiple different teams in the final 4 as opposed to just FLA, UK, and then Auburn recently. The difference is that the SEC only goes 5/6 teams that are good tops, and the B1G goes 8 or more every year.

Pitino Era All-Time Starting Five and Sixth Man

PG: Mason SG: Carr SF: Coffey PF: Murphy C: Oturu 6th Man: Kalscheur or Akeem Springs

Pitino Era All-Time Starting Five and Sixth Man

The same Dupree McBrayer who didn't even shoot 40% lifetime as a gopher? Gabe all day. We thought last year was an atrocious shooting year for him, that would have been McBrayers 2nd highest FG% of his career. Love McBrayer but was not a good shooter.

How Many Gophers Transfer? If Pitino is in fact fired like is being reported?

I might be in the minority on this but if we get a solid coach and don't get ravaged by transfers, I think we will have a decent team next year. Would have a shot to make the tourney if we have Mash, Kalscheur, Ihnen, Robbins, Tre, Gach. Do we need some frontcourt depth? Yeah we will have to...

Doogie: Coyle knows this can't go on. They (Coyle and Pitino) met on Friday.

He literally always has done this and why I cant stand him. He will choose the most incoherent of replies to quote and respond to on twitter, then it is like some kind of justification for his take, because he owned the dumbest guy on the thread.

    RP

Transfer rule hasn't been approved yet. We knocked off 3 top 10 teams this year, if we get a decent coach and everyone doesn't leave, we could have a solid team.

    Carr- Foot Injury

Lol true, kind of my point but the wrong kind of consistency

    Carr- Foot Injury

Following your logic: if you don't get hurt, you will win games, if only that was the case. If the problem was losing the game beforehand, not sure why this would cause a strong reaction. I do agree that losing beforehand was the problem, but do not get why people are so rattled over someone...

    Carr- Foot Injury

Exactly what I'm saying. Its factual, and its also factual that one statement didn't change his body of work as it still sucks and still lacks any semblance of consistency.
