I don’t see Robbins transferring to Utah state at least

I don’t like the optics of us taking a guy who was losing playing time at Madison. We shouldn’t be viewed as a place kids can fall back on if it doesn’t workout in Wisco. If Johnson is trying to build up in state recruiting that doesn’t seem like the way to do it.

He can shoot threes. After all the bricks last season this is a welcome addition.

Personally am indifferent about Tre Williams. He had some talent but also was good for a dumb step back he had no chance of making every game. It’s probably not good to have this many players leave the program, but if you’re worried about him leaving you got bigger problems to fix.

You could be totally right, I haven’t actually seen him play. I just think with college stats, context matters a lot.

One thing to consider when looking at stats of a player in college (especially mid major) is the talent he played with. Is he forced to create all the offense and take all the bad desperation shots at the end of the shot clock? This will have a negative effect on efficiency but may not be...

I’m assuming Thompson is staying and Photo is leaving. If Carr, Mashburn, Omersa, and Johnson leave at minimum, he could have a ton of open roster spots to bring in his own guys immediately. It will be an interesting spring recruiting period.

His first recruiting test will be keeping Robbins on the roster. Also getting nearly 2M in salary seems kinda high.

If we were gonna go with a coach with local ties and limited college experience, why not just hire Sam Mitchell? At least he has a proven history of an NBA coach and did a decent job developing the younger wolves players a few years back. I’m not upset, I just don’t follow the logic.

I said that Carr would look to grad transfer to a high profile program if he didn’t get the draft grade he likes and people shot that thought down real fast in a different thread..

Could it be that the reason he didn’t get Minnesota recruits is that they/ their AAU coaches could tell Pitino was a bad coach? I’d imagine if people on this board could complain for years it was probably more apparent to people that actually play and coach at a high level.
