When the score is 70-50 some things went really haywire in that game. I'm not surprised some of our fans and trolls are using it to take shots at us but it is silly to try and draw anything from a game like that.

Not seeing much outrage.....frustration maybe that Iowa is getting credit for things that might not really be accurate this year (advantage on defense). But people picking Iowa is totally understandable given the relative perceptions of the teams nationally.

Are you surprised that people here think we have a good chance of winning this game? Don't see many saying it will be easy or a blowout victory, but the teams seem very evenly matched and we are at home.

They also don't set the lines based on what they think will happen they set them based on how they think people will bet on the game.

I'm actually surprised this line has shifted more towards us over the course of the week. Given how the games have gone in recent years it would be crazy to bet on a game between these two teams anyway :)

Could not disagree more about not being disappointed to lose. The last 5-6 years are all that really matter because those games involve players that are still around. And while Iowa has gotten the better of the W/L record the margin between the teams has been razor thin with most of the games...

We have definitely found creative ways to lose a few of the iowa games in recent years as they have been ridiculously close. As to last year though.....you don't think maybe all the arm waving DeJean did may have impacted the way the coverage team acted?.....

Yeah, it isn't the coaches job to try and make the players into the same player he was.....coaching is all about having the ability to connect with the athletes and figure out how to get the best out of them.

Don't sleep on Eagan....they may surprise some people this year. I know they dropped their opener to Edina but will be interesting to see how they do against the Lakeville schools over the next two weeks. North sitting in the #1 spot really underscores how wide open 6A is this year because...

I get the complaints about the offense in recent years, especially the passing game.....but have you been watching at all this year? Do you really think we still have one of the worst offenses in the country? Not saying the offense is great but they have been very balanced through 3 games...
