Mar’Keise Irving enters the transfer portal

Hate to see this but can't blame the kids. One of their goals is to make the NFL ... now they can get more money than a late round NFL draft choice shopping around colleges.

NCAA implements appeals process for targeting and introduces 'Kenny Pickett rule'

Quite often I think they are too hard on the defensive player when they call the penalty on hitting the sliding player. Those guys are going full go and have committed to hitting the runner. Then a split second before the defender hits him the player slides. I just think in many cases it is...

    $8M NIL Deal📈

I always took a passing interest in most sports. I like to watch the Twins and watch the Vikings when I am not outdoors in the fall. Other sports too but not seriously. However, I have always been passionate about Gopher football. Since I was a young boy. That is over 50 years. Now...

    De'Vondre Campbell gets PAID!!!

For some reason I still got QB in my head ... was he originally a QB in High School that got converted to LB once he got to college? Guess it doesn't matter but was just wondering. Thanks!

Wasn’t he recruited to the Gophers as a QB?

How have the guys who entered the portal done as far as finding a new home?

    Recruiting Personnel off to Auburn

Wonder if these guys are applying/seeking these jobs or they are being recruited to come there by the various universities ?

Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh reportedly interviewing with the Vikings

I think I remember reading where Cousins and Zimmer had weekly one on one meetings.

    T Johnson

I agree … TB could blitz but Winfield should have been way back in coverage. Kupp ran right past him. That’s on the defensive coordinator.

    Fun Comparison of Star Rankings

Big 12 has had a big turnover with Texas - Ok leaving. Cinn will be an improvement. BYU has an interesting NIL deal with basically everyone getting a scholarship even walk-ons. So will see if that improves their stock. Will be interesting to see if the star chart changes the next few...

    Fun Comparison of Star Rankings

https://247sports.com/Season/2021-Football/CollegeTeamTalentComposite/ I think someone else posted this a long while back but I just came on it again. It shows a comparison of all the conferences combined or you can click on a conference and see that comparison as well. Georgia was certainly...

May have to start new divisions

Well what will the difference between a walk-on and a scholarship player be. Maybe room and board ... not sure if that is included in this deal.

Nebraska lands Texas quarterback transfer Casey Thompson

That will make them a whole lot better.

May have to start new divisions

I've read that some of the NIL money is tied to the amount of years that they stay at the school. They don't give it all to them at once. They spread it out like an NFL contract. If they enter the portal so goes their money.

May have to start new divisions

I have no problem with giving all players stipends that allow them to be comfortable and go out to do things. Under NCAA rules players were not allowed to go out and get jobs because it would be easy for boosters to give them "under the table money." However, the problem I have is that...

May have to start new divisions

We have always had divisions dividing tier one, tier two and non-scholarship schools. The way things are starting to look we may have to divide teams by how much NIL money they produce. The 25 mil. that has been attributed to Texas A & M is only the start. Who knows ... we might have to...

College Football more like MLB than NFL

The Royals are a good example of the exception to the rule but the other teams you mention spend money a lot of money on free agents. Maybe not quite as much as the Yankees and Dodgers but most of those are much higher than the Twins or Royals. I don't have any facts to support that off the...

College Football more like MLB than NFL

College football is more like major league baseball than like the NFL. In the NFL there is a salary cap. In MLB there is no salary cap and that is why you have so many haves and have nots. There is a lot of parity in the NFL because everyone has the same amount of money to spend. It has...
