***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT PENN STATE PRIME TIME WHITE OUT IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I’m in Amsterdam ready for the Gopher to beat the stinking Nittany Lion. Just do it Gopher! I’ll be trying to keep track of the score. The game will start at about 9:30 (21:30) Amsterdam time. Beat ‘em Gopher!

"Purdue and Illinois are teams that Minnesota should be beating in year six of the P.J. Fleck era." | Gopherhole

Your last paragraph is the story of Gopher football ever since about 1968! At least now, the Gopher program has a great on campus stadium, continues to be a member of the Big Ten Conference that is working hard to continue to provide revenue streams for the conference members and will have a...

    Interesting comparison to another program

Many good, thought provoking points on both sides of this issue. Good discussion this morning Gopher Hole!

    We Lost, Then What?

Good luck to all, may there be no injuries and may the better team win. This is only a college football game. The sun would shine again. I would still bleed Maroon & Gold. I am really quite sure that the coaches and players are ready, willing and able to go play their best on Saturday. They...

Warren suggests Divisions could be gone when USC/UCLA join

I love Big Ten games! Ten BT games would be amazing! College football is going to need to be the cash cow that does more to support all the other sports sponsored by the NCAA… mens’ and womens’ sports programs that big time conferences crave. Look at the super conferences being created for...

Gophers open as -2 point favorites @ Illinois

Coaches are sometimes rather strangely closed mouthed, sometimes superstitious, possibly a bit paranoid creatures of habit. Yet, we seem to love ‘em, forgive ‘em and once they are gone forget ‘em. In the end the team has to just line up and play the damn game. Beat the stinking Illini, Gopher!

Northwestern plans to tear down Ryan Field, build an $800M replacement

The conference makes it’s money by selling TV rights any way. Perhaps sales of tickets, concessions and parking revenue aren’t measuring up to profits and revenue sharing from selling tv rights…I think we all know that. Beautiful and comfortable 50,000 or even 35,000 seat television production...

Northwestern plans to tear down Ryan Field, build an $800M replacement

Always have loved the road trip to Evanston as well. They are very wise to bring a revenue producing stadium to their campus. It will be a jewel and the newest monument to the geographical center of the Big Ten Conference: Chicago. With the California additions to the conference, this will...

This offense is good enough to have a name. What should it be?

The defender dilemma option offense. The: “…take what they give executioner zone…” offense!

    #23 in coaches poll

Thanks! And you too, enjoy each game of this season , Oregon Gopher! I think this has the potential to be a season to be savored, appreciated and one for the ages remembered!

    #23 in coaches poll

“…better to be seen, even if not heard…” only 4 games into what has been a soft schedule to date. “Mission accomplished so far…” 3-0 ooc and 1-0 in Big Ten play. Beat the stinking Boiler, Gopher. Great seasons are built one win at a time!

Tanner Morgan has never looked like this.

The offensive line play was an effort of skill, strength, style, great coaching/planning and unity. This game did showcase the offense, defense and every aspect of the special teams with the exception of the punt game…only because they did not punt. It was a tribute to their coach and the...

RandBall: With Gophers football, try this: Embrace your hopes, not your fears

I just feel really good about this Gopher team. A little angst is part of the anticipation of going to play a good team on the road…or at home against these Big Ten teams that Gopher fans love to fear, hate, dread to face and wonder if the team can compete with. This Gopher team has a chance...

The headline in the Sunday paper will read?...

Galloping Gopher ground game got going. Won one from the east in Lansing… The U the best in the West… just maybe?

Reusse: Soft schedule? Too much hot air? Regardless, it's time to endorse P.J. Fleck and 2022 Gophers; "I'm buying P.J. Fleck."

But, maybe the Gopher beats the Spartan this time. That’s why they play the games. I was in East Lansing for the last game the Gopher won there. The team that runs the ball the best on Saturday is my pick to win the game. Run the ball, run the clock and take what the Spartan will give you...

Will the Gophers crack the Top 25 this week?

Get a Big Ten win…then we’ll see about this “top 25…” stuff.

Too early to worry about that right now…

    Week 3 Other Games Thread

Saturday, the 24th of September in East Lansing will tell us how the Gopher will fare against the Spartan. I love how the Gopher is playing! I’d guess the team that runs the ball the best next Saturday will win the game.
