I didn't see Jones on the field once today, and while Mitch struggled due to a mix of poor decisions/throws and being under a lot of pressure from the Buckeye D, Jones is one of the few true deep threats we have at WR. I don't recall seeing anything about him being hurt, or being disciplined...
Talking about the Big 10's weekend, and "what we learned".
"3. Minnesota can score without Eric Decker: Sometimes it takes an unfortunate event for a team to reach its potential. Minnesota hadn't found any offensive consistency this season outside of Decker, who suffered a season-ending foot...
Although I'm a bit down given the way our Offense played at PSU, I'm always one who likes to look for reasons to be positive. The recent WR commit, and the fact that RB Josh Huff (3 or 4 stars, depending on which site you look at) is reportedly leaning towards MN are reasons for optimism...

It's no surprise, but still cool to see MN boys invited to these national all-star games.
Go Seantrel!!! (sign with Minnesota) ;)
OK -- we're 1-0 in the Big 10 for the first time under Brew. We beat a decent NW team, ON THE ROAD, with overall solid play on both sides of the ball.
- Great first drive, where the offense looked like it had it's $hit together. Overall, Fisch can call a pretty good game when the O-line isn't...
OK -- I'll admit out of the gate that I hope we still get one of the 4* or high 3* RB's who are still considering coming to MN. With that being said, after going back and looking at film for one of our incoming recruits I'm wondering if we don't already have a solid RB option committed for...
We can all agree that yesterday's game was not necessarily what we wanted, and had some reasons for concern:
- ugly (lucky?) win against a lesser team
- stupid penalties on O and D
- Weber inconsistent
- Lack of rhythm on offense
- D caught off guard in 1st half
But it was a WIN and there were...
I will preface this by saying that none of us knows how good Jedd Fisch will be as the OC for Gophers. With that being said, here are some reason why I think this is a good choice.
It's a given that every hire includes some praise from former colleagues. But, after seeing what Mike Shanahan...
Hope I don't offend anyone with the cut and paste, but here's something from the Blog at the Strib.

Another name has surfaced as a strong candidate for the job of Gophers’ offensive...
Who do those with some inside info on recruiting think the Gophers will target (or have been targeting already) now that Carter and McNeal have chosen to go somewhere else?
Is it Taikwon Paige? Are there others that we many not know much about?
I'm ready to move on from talking about McNeal...
McNeal to Clemson, and his "home away from home".
As a kind of consolation price, it was nice to see the MN hat as a finalist for two of the guys who committed on TV.
Good luck to Bryce.
For those who may not have seen Bryant Allen before, here's a link to a video on YouTube of the most recent Gopher commit.

From watching the video, he can definitely make plays. He's got good vision, and is very elusive once he has the ball in his...
