Go Gophers!!

Man...Really wanna go. Graduating from the U in like two weeks, so I think they would still let me do the student package hopefully. Eager to see what they come up with because what I have seen quoted here so far is just too much...

Congrats!! I'm sure you will be able to do whatever student deal they have.

To be honest, as long as you have a student ID. I'm sure you'll be able to go. I doubt they even check for enrollment.

Wow, great news! Gotta find a way to go. Time is the issue (not $$$). Anyone got a couple of days I can buy off of them??

Who is the 'home' team for the game? (Yes, I'm asking because I want to know if we'll be wearing home or away uniforms)

Just read elsewhere that outside of the NYD 6 bowls, Outback and Citrus are the only two that feature two ranked teams. Great chance for the conference to impress.

Were you straight with them or did you just play it off like you were a student?

Every team has a bad loss. We lost to Illinois and Missouri lost to Indiana? This seems like an even match.

Minnesota will wear the home uniforms - the game alternates every year and this is the Big Ten's turn.

Mizzou fan here, looking forward to the matchup. I saw some chatter in this thread about Mizzou fans being upset with the matchup, but I think that's just the vocal minority that had a specific opponent in mind (lots of old Big XII guys like to see matchups with former rivals). Anyway, lots of respect for Kill and the Gophers, and I think the fanbases will get along quite well down in Orlando. I haven't watched enough Minn football to know your strengths and weaknesses, but expect to have your QB laying on the ground most of the afternoon, while our offense sputters around and looks hapless until (hopefully) the 4th. It's been a weird year for a team that most of us figured was in rebuilding mode, and for fans that have been used to great offenses and terrible defense during the Pinkel era.

Would be really cool if our ADs parlayed the bowl game into a home-and-home. I'd love to get up to check out your new stadium! Good luck to you all and enjoy Orlando.

EDIT: Forgot to add, despite all the noise about the Indiana game, I wouldn't read into that too much. Total fluke loss when we we're without our stud DEs and we took a devastating PI penalty on 4th down with a min left to give Indiana the shot to win. Indiana also had a good QB at that point, to be fair to them.

Good post, thanks for the info. Looking forward to some fun chatter and learning more about Mizzou leading up to the game! Hope you and more Mizzou fans stop by in the coming weeks.

Booked our flight about an hour ago. Ticket prices had gone-up since this afternoon.

Booked on Delta and at the Hyatt. Can't wait to wear my new maroon pants!
