Mania to RIT
MSU adds another draft pick to it's expanding roster filled with draft picks.Jimmy Clark to MSU
Trey Augustine would not have made the tournament as a Gopher last yearMy only knock on LDP is that he's a little bit inconsistent but could prob say that about nearly any goalie, especially if they were playing on last year's team. I like what we have with him, he seems more capable of stealing games than Close, Souliere, LaFontaine (other than that one year) or most Gopher goalies I can think of post-Wilcox.
I thought my point was obvious. I wasn't the one pointing out back door tap-ins.What's your point? It's accurate that LDP is just another in a LONG line of good but not great goalies since Wilcox.
If Everett wins the WHL, they move on to the Memorial Cup, which ends May 31st. If he's heading to Minnesota, he'll need to be enrolled before June 1st. Otherwise, the Ducks lose his rights and he re-enters the draft. We won't know about Smith until after his playoffs are completed correct? When do those playoffs end?
Does Larson have enough to sell before D-Day?If Everett wins the WHL, they move on to the Memorial Cup, which ends May 31st. If he's heading to Minnesota, he'll need to be enrolled before June 1st. Otherwise, the Ducks lose his rights and he re-enters the draft.
And after all of your negativity, don't start clutching your pearls over unfair assessments of the 2025-26 D corps. What's your point? It's accurate that LDP is just another in a LONG line of good but not great goalies since Wilcox.
He had enough showings where he was great, a .910 save pct with that team in front of him is better than you’re leading on. I’m not going to form my opinion on how good he can be until he plays with a d core that’s not atrocious. What's your point? Idk if that’s true, hard to say if he’s good or great behind last year’s team. At times he was great. I don’t think it’s impossible that he could’ve done what Hicks did on Saturday had he been in net. He’s definitely more capable of stealing games than the post Wilcox goalies. What's your point? This is absolutely right. Show me a "great goalie" and 'll show you someone who is playing behind at least a respectable group of D. And secondly... playing with some two-way forwards who are not afraid to back check. I think LDP has a chance to be really good, even great, this year.He had enough showings where he was great, a .910 save pct with that team in front of him is better than you’re leading on. tbh i don't really care what they do or if they play in the NHLTo be clear, great goalies play in the NHL. And not in emergency situations like Lafontaine.
There's a difference between good and great.
Ivankovic will be very good and Ravensbergen probably will be, no question. I’m just saying LDP has shown he can play to that elite level at times in college, so I’m going to wait and see if he can put it all together with a solid D core before making assumptions. Strahl will probably be a good fallback and has solid potential himself.Regardless the Gophers have their two goalies for next year and they'll get to go up against Ravensbergen and Ivankovic at least four times each.
and Kempf and Hauser (plus likely one of the drafted portal goalies) and Fleming who played really well for PSU.Regardless the Gophers have their two goalies for next year and they'll get to go up against Ravensbergen and Ivankovic at least four times each.
Given LDPs numbers at MSU were better than Augustine's, yes he can do itIvankovic will be very good and Ravensbergen probably will be, no question. In reality, all that really matters is a goalie getting hot at the right time.
Brother going to UND, soGavin Lindberg (played at Moorhead) into the portal
really had his struggles this year but there's a good player in there. you kind of wonder how much coming in as a 17 year old stunted his growth profile, especially being stuck behind HutsonBoumedienne to the portal out of BU. That’s an interesting one.
